Apartament Gdansk Stare Miasto

The living room and bedrooms are very spacious with plenty of room for 4 people (although the sofa might be a bit cramped). Very close to the major sites - 5 minutes in one direction and you're at the start of the old town, 10 minutes in the other (you can see the ferris wheel from the entrance to the apartment - head in that direction) and you're at the WWII museum and then the river. The kitchen had all the crockery, pans, etc you could want, and there was a huge supply of dishwasher tabs. Heating was good for a chilly Easter weekend. Quiet despite being on a main road, but maybe bring some earplugs if you're sensitive to noise as there's a church nearby and the bells ring quite early in the morning. The couple of times we did contact the host (for some questions), the response was always very quick. Cafe Luis right beside the apartment is lovely. The cakes are excellent and homemade, and the coffee (as some who drinks decaf) was brilliant. We were there a couple of times and weren't disappointed. Definitely go!

Overall, this was a nice apartment, but...but, but, but. From the 4 of us (all adults), the aggregate score is 6.5: * Check-in was easy with the keycode, but there was no information on anything - nothing on sights to see, transport, how to work the TV, that there's extra bedding and where it is, to name a few. * There was one 'pillow' for each person, a pillow that is slightly larger than the smallest cushions on my sofa. We did ask for more, to be told that they were under the bed but that there were no covers...why weren't we told this to begin with, and why were there there no extra covers?? This meant that 2 of us had sore backs for the whole stay, which was aided by... *...the hard mattresses. Personally, I thought the mattress fine, but I understand that if your head is resting on little more than something the thickness of a good book, then it might affect your back. * The apartment said 'complimentary toiletries'. If hand soap in the bathroom can be considered toiletries, then I stand corrected. * The sofa in the living room is large, which is a great thing, but somewhat hard - more style over substance. Also, there was only one cushion (which was tiny) and nothing in the form of a throw for those chilly evenings (as said, the living room is large). * The seats around the dining table are plastic. Good quality, to be fair, but not conducive to sitting there for any period of time. * The roller blinds in the bedroom at the back do nothing, and I repeat nothing, to stop the light coming in in the morning. Bearing in mind that this bedroom is East facing, be prepared to be woken as soon as the sun rises. * As I mentioned above, the kitchen is equipped, but why no basics such as oil, tinfoil, etc? Most people are stay for a short period of time, so surely it can't be much to have a few essentials in the apartment?? * Mirrors in the hall and main bedroom were dirty, as were the insides of the cupboard above the toilet.

It is a modern apartment.

Ubytování je opravdu dobře umístěné, v centru jste během chviličky. Zároveň je místo klidné. Byt byl moc pěkný, čistý a komunikace s majitelem naprosto super, vyšel nám vstříc.

Nowoczesny styl, cisza i spokój. Apartament jest ogromny - idealny dla rodzin. Na pewno tu wrócę z rodziną.

Nie mam uwag.
