Vulcano Apartment

The location, host, apartment were great. My friend and I were sorry we didn't stay longer.

The apartment is small, but more than perfect for a short stay, it has everything what you need. Renato is a very friendly guy, waited for us and gave some useful tips regarding the city. Location is also good, few mins walk to the nearest bus station and all kind of stores, bars, restaurants are in 1-2 mins.

We loved the location! Out of the busy center, historic buildings, walkable to anywhere we wanted to go. Excellent host who we had great conversations and communication with.

Nothing.

The apartment is situated in the heart of the city, wich is very convenient. Yet, it is still quite located in a backyard. Renato was very helpful with all needs and questions. We stayed in a large 4 bed apartment wich has all that is needed (kitchen utensils, hair dryer etc.) For winter times we should have brought some extra shoes, since the floor is stone and quite cold.

It was very quiet place in the center of Catania everything was very good. Good people and great host.

We went to Sicily for my friend’s wedding in Acireale, so we stayed there for the first week, and then stayed at Vulcano Apartment in Catania for the second week. We LOVED it here! When we arrived from the train station in a taxi, Renato was waiting for us in the street to give us our keys and tell us where to go. The apartment is so cute, with a comfy bed and a kitchen area, and a fantastic shower. There were also many cute little extra touches, such as shower gel and face wipes. The street the apartment is on, Via Crociferi, is possibly the best street in Catania - so quiet and chilled, but with gorgeous restaurants all around, and a beautiful church every 2 minutes! It’s such a quiet and peaceful area but with amazing restaurants on your doorstep. Try the pasta in the restaurant directly next door - it’s incredible! The apartment is super convenient for the train station (15 - 20 mins easy downhill walk) for trips to Siracusa, Taormina etc. We LOVED our visit here, loved how accommodating Renato was, and we can’t wait to come back again!

The shower was BRILLIANT, powerful and modern, but we could see why we were left a mop and bucket - water got everywhere! The apartments are very close to each other, so they didn’t feel very private - there were people walking right past your window/terrace quite regularly. But everyone was very friendly, and that didn’t take away from how lovely the apartment was! 😊
