Location is excellent! Apartment was furnished nicely for cooking, laundry, and relaxation.

It is noisy in the evening, like other reviewers mentioned. I am a light sleeper, but was fine when I used ear plugs.

If you have a chance to book Casa do Arco, don’t wait — book it right now! It’s such a special experience! The suite is charming and comfortable, and filled with thoughtful touches like fresh slippers and welcome gifts. Our family really enjoyed the windows which opened to a quiet, ancient square, surrounded by lovely cafes and shops, just down the hill from the university and a few steps from the main shopping street in the historic town centre.

Ouve-se algum barulho à noite no quarto que dá para a rua, já que fica numa zona bastante turística, bastante movimentada. O quarto do lado interior é muito silencioso.

This is a large apartment, well-appointed, and in excellent condition. Lots of room, comfortable bed and furniture, complete kitchen, nice bathroom. It is located in the heart of the old section of the city within easy walking distance of the university, cathedral and other sites. Many great restaurants nearby.

This is advertised as a “hotel.” False! Hotels have staff. This is essentially an Airbnb. Let yourself in with door codes. Call the owner with questions or issues. It’s located in a pedestrian zone. We were provided info on parking options outside this zone, with “easy walking access.” Actually, the walk from the lot was an arduous uphill climb on narrow, cobbled streets. It would have been an exhausting trip towing our carry-on sized luggage. We took a taxi to get close. The driver had great difficulty finding a nearby drop off location. He had to ask for help twice. We were now a 5-minute walk from the building. We had to ask multiple times for help finding this “very discreet” location. Store owners within a few hundred yards had no idea where this place is. There’s a 10” x 5” sign next to the door. It was a stressful and frustrating experience finding this place. The listed wi-fi info was incorrect. After multiple attempts, the owner answered her phone. I ended up in a combative phone conversation in which the owner would not let me get a word in edgewise. The owner seems to have a massive chip on her shoulder when dealing with guests. Very unpleasant start to our stay. I would recommend she provide an address nearby for taxi drivers.

The apartment has a good layout with comfy beds. The hosts left us a nice bottle of wine too.

The apartment is in a square that gets a lot of foot traffic day and night. People talked loudly and there was music playing. There is a restaurant below that was open until 1:00 am on Friday night playing loud music. Also, as others indicated, the kitchen isn't well equipped for preparing or eating food.

Excelente hospedagem! Muito confortável e com uma ótima localização. Os anfitriões foram muito profissionais e solícitos. Certamente nossa melhor hospedagem em nossa viagem a Portugal.
