Marvelous Ocean View

Spacious apartment and has lovely grounds and swimming pool.

The jacuzzi was out of order and we were not told about it before arriving. There is a general unfriendly attitude from some of the other residents when you use the pool and we had and extra keep noise down sign added to our door during our stay. There was 2 when arrived! We went to bed at decent times, always before 10 at night. The door opposite did not have any signs!! This is not the owners fault but it made our stay a bit unpleasant. We have stayed before and there was a lot that was not working in comparison re: tap dripping, smaller shower (which my children prefer), out of order, cooker, broken sun beds and parasols, etc. we did like staying here very much but I’m afraid that after our last experience I don’t think we will again.

We really loved this apartment, it was spacious, views from the living area were amazing. The location was perfect with the beautiful ocean views and close to the shopping mall. Easy to get transport and bus to Funchal. The apartment was very beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher and washing machine. We have family of 4 and kids could stay in their own bedrooms which was good. The balcony was beautiful to sit and relax in and take in the view. The management were very responsive and provided an excellent service, Edgar was very helpful throughout. He even helped to get us a tour booked for us at short notice which was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend this place.

Only some very minor issues, we thought the bedding could be better, maybe larger extra pillows. The bathroom sliding door kept opening so could do with some maintenance, it was clean and good size but perhaps need some updating. One of the bedrooms had a sofa bed that was a bit hard so could be better if that was a proper bed. The TV was complicated to use and there were lots of controls for the sound system, none of us could work it out. However we were not there to watch TV so it didn't affect us.

Ocean view and grocery store right across the street. Big space inside. Great location. 10 min drive into old Town funchal

Needs a face lift on the outside. Silverfish in kitchen and bathrooms
