Je moet toch een serieuze heuvel op als je te voet gaat van centrum naar appartement, maar op zich ook niet onlogisch in Funchal. We hadden wat last van muggen. Door nieuwbouw naast het gebouw deel van zicht op Funchal weg.

The apartment had the WOW factor, it was stunningly beautiful. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Nice swimming pool. Quiet at night. Margarida, was lovely, met us at the property with the keys, showed us around, gave us helpful advice and booked our return taxi to the airport

super comfy apartment, included garage for the car, super nice host, easy check-in and check-out, about 5 minutes walk to the city center we really enjoyed our stay!

Very good location, about 10 minutes walk to the city center and 20 minutes from the airport. The apartment is spacy and clean with a nice garden around the pool and great seaview from the balcony. Quiet neighbourhood and big pool. Central location to visit the island. Parking available under the apartment.

The apartment is a bit dated and there is no airco and no mosquito windows, so due to the summer heat you must sleap with open windows so you get bitten every night! The pool was never cleaned during our 10 day stay! Due to the forest fire the pool and terras around was full of black soot deposits. This must be dealth with and should be cleaned every week. Construction going on in front of the building and workers start at 8 - 18 hour from mo-sat. Didn't bother us because we were often away. 100 m very steep hill to the apartment.

Ideal location for the town, A good sized apartment with spacious balcony chosen location due to no road noise and so close to the centre. The apartment was comfortable and had a good sized car space. Having a swimming pool was an added bonus.

Having stayed in this block before we had expected the piece and quiet. Not the case unfortunately, Construction has started next door and we were subjected to continuous noise from 8am - 7pm with no break every day except Sunday. The continuous drilling spoilt our stay, as we like to sit out on the balcony, it became only possible for short times. We felt that we should have been given previous warning of this, and we could have considered relocating. I understand that this is not the fault of the owners but would suggest a heads up. It also caused the apartment to become very dusty. No mid stay cleaning was offered, and perhaps at this time should have been. On arrival, it would have been nice to have had some water or fruit as a welcome which we have always enjoyed in previous apartments, even small items for dish wash, washing machine etc is always appreciated. We liked the apartment very much however small touches can make the difference in our return. As a very frequent visitor to the Island unfortunately this apartment is off the list till construction is complete.

The hill is steep but there are steps to help.

The hill to the apartment was steeper than anticipated, but we soon got used to it.

We were told to leave the keys in the apartment when we left, but then we couldn't get out of the building without a key.
