Seaside Escape

It is very spacious place, comfortable for groups, parking included is amazing benefit as it would be hard to find always on the street.

Location is noisy as there are many construction sites around and because of shopping center that is open late. But if you manage to sleep with close window it should be fine. There should be more beg for trash as you will need more than available in apartment.

Excellent location. Spacious apartment. High-end quality. It is located in a good neighbourhood. Close by Forum Madeira (a large shopping centre). The kitchen is fully equipped. The balcony is large.

Parking in the garage requires some driving skills. Some noise (due to central location) but nothing special. 10 min driving from Funchal city centre.

best location in Sao Martinho, near Forum Madeira mall, close to Lido Promenade, 2 minutes walk to bus, cafe and more. the property was really big and comfortable, it has fully equipped kitchen and 2 balconies, private parking in garage, Joanna (host) was very kind.

all was excellent , except the poor shower stream in the big bathroom

Location was close to the sea and coastal path, easy to walk in to the Capital. Forum Shopping centre and bus stops a few minutes walk away from accommodation. Airport Shuttle, Bus No9, passes by these stops every half hour. Cost 6 Euros. Plenty of excellent restaurants nearby.

No dislikes

Location was strategic to do sightseeing and had everything needed (bars, supermarkets etc.) house very spacious and comfy, with parking space which was handy.

Bathroom could have been much cleaner

It's a huge property - even bigger than we expected after reading comments. The location is simply perfect - basically within the shopping mall and close to the ocean, at the same time it's quite quiet as the bedrooms face the other side of the busy area. Our teenage daughter loved the possibility to go shopping alone, 2 minutes from the apartment. The special "bonus" is the private underground garage as parking in the city is tough. The host of the property is super kind, attentive and willing to help, we really appreciated it! Basically it's a very good choice for a big family/company willing to explore the island with a car. P.S: there's a super cool talking parrot living in the neighbour's apartment:))

The interior of the apartment is a bit outdated, some things need to be changed (furniture, kitchen, decor). Nothing major, just don't expect to see a modern apt, it's more the grandparents style:) But everything was functional and clean! WiFi didn't work well in the bedrooms due to the sizes of the apt. Also, I'd suggest putting 1-2 capsules for washing machine/dishwasher for guests, it would be super handy not be forced to buy the whole pack for a couple of washings:)
