Reasonably quiet, useful balcony,,easy access to shops,restsurants etc.

The method of booking in was not explained. We had to eventually ring the owner to come and let us in to the building and give us the keys. The apartment door lock was broken and had to be replaced next day.This was done promptly after owner was notified.Some explanation on the operation of the induction hob would have been useful in the apartment documentation provided.

The bed, the bathroom (shower in particular), the overall stay

This is a great place! The host Jose was great, I arrived a little late but he still met me out at the street and took me upstairs to the apartment and explained everything and also gave me suggestions on nearby restaurants. Everything in the apartment worked well and he even provided a bottle of water, red and white wine. The apartment has kitchen supplies and a selection of teas, coffee, and sugar. The balcony is great with a sliver of ocean view. The bed was very comfortable as well. The bathroom and shower were spacious and the shower worked well with plenty of hot water. They also have a very thorough info book on the apartment and many pages of information on every part of the island with highlights of things to do and public transportation info. There is also a great scooter rental shop in front of the building that has great prices and friendly staff. I would one hundred percent stay here again!

Nope, this place is a gem!

We stayed at Jose's place for 10 days and we had a wonderful time. The flat was very clean and comfortable, fully equipped with a washing machine, a hair dryer, an iron, a smart TV and a coffee maker. The bathroom had a spacious shower with excellent water pressure. The flat had a large balcony with sea view. The flat was on the last floor but was accessible by a fast lift. The location was excellent - there was a bus stop right in front of the building. The area was full of great restaurants and cafes. There was also a supermarket within a walking distance. Jose was a great host. He met us when we arrived and showed us around the flat. When we had a problem with the coffee maker, Jose bought a new one and brought it to us the next day. If we ever come back to Funchal, we would stay at Jose's. We definitely recommend Jose's place.

What was great regarding the apartment: + Location + Washing machine + No extra noise + Window shades + Balcony + Kitchen equipment + Clean bathroom and spare towels + Air-conditioning / heating

What was disappointing: - Plenty of small beetles or cockroaches seen on the kitchen every day. Well the apartment had insecticide available for the purpose, the keep them away. See the pictures. - Smell of cigarette smoke always on the corridor, right outside the apartment door. - We had the rental car only for the last night before proceeding to accommodation elsewhere. There is a parking lot, but I was unable to get in with the keycard. There can be only one vehicle "in" based on the logic of the gate. The person on the restaurant helped me and we figured that the gate must think that there is already vehicle inside (but there's not). We had to trick the gate. When it was finally fixed, the parking lot was already full. It is full anyways most of the time, so the value of the "parking lot" is not significant. My complain is that the apartment had no instructions regarding the gate or parking.

The apartments were spacious, clean, and had a large balcony. The host was friendly and helpful with all questions 👌

It was a little difficult to turn on the washing machine. Parking is on the territory of the house, it is private but there is not always a free place to park the car.

Nice, clean, well-equipped apartment with large bathroom in a quiet location. There is a supermarket nearby.

The apartement had everything we needed, the kitchen was fully equipped, the bathroom was renowated recently. For the people the flat would be a little crowded, but for two it was ok.

The balcony didnt have any roof, when there was rain at night some water stayed and didnt drain. Sometimes all the parking spaces are taken and u have to park on the street.
