Central Catania Apartment

Beautiful apartment , good location-close to centre. So kind owner.

The apartment is fantastic! Exceptionally clean, very spacious, and has every thing you need and more including: reverse cycle aircon/heater; wifi; hairdryer; iron; washing machine; tvs; safe; alarm clock; shampoo; soap; cleaning products; umbrella; and fully stocked kitchen if you feel the need to cook (but why would you with the amazing and cheap food available all around you!). The shower is great and has a fixed and hand held shower head. There is a separate nook with a washing machine and laundry sink. The apartment is safe and secure. It is located close to the international airport and a 10 minute walk to the historical centre (duomo, markets etc). Catania Centrale train station is about a 35 minute walk away. You are surrounded by shops, markets, bars, restaurants, monuments, pharmacies etc Carmelo is a gentleman and the very best hotelier/host you will have the pleasure of meeting. Carmelo takes the time to give you specific instructions and information that makes your arrival and stay incredibly easy. He is very knowledgable and has the best recommendations! Carmelo has options for airport transfers too which is very helpful. Grazie mille per tutti Carmelo!

Not a complaint but for those with mobiltiy issues you may need to consider that the apartment is on the first floor of the building so there are a flight of steps to climb. There is also a step up to the bathroom shower and basin within the bathroom.

We have been to many places in the world where we have always met super room and flat owners. However, Carmelo is a world champion among hosts.... His tips on attractions, restaurants and local delicacies are a masterstroke.... Helpful. Simply awesome. Highly recommended. 10/10 is definitely not enough

Amazing apartment located on a very noisy street. Comfortable bed, spacious room, and bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped.

Catania is a very dirty city, Even the surroundings of the city attractions located close to the apartment are not kept clean.

Great place, clean and very comfortable. Great location, near the old town of Catania. The owner was just great! Very helpful and very nice person. I highly recommend this place.

The apartment was very nicely renovated, a lot of space.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

We have stayed 5 nights in this sparkling clean apartment, with all the facilities you need: fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with a laundry machine (which is pretty rare in accommodations in Catania) and a very pleasant bedroom. The host was kind and responsive.

It has a bad neighborhood, away from Porta Garibaldi (so you should avoid going beyond it) and the distance to the city centre may seem long if it is really hot outside. The entrance in the building is not very friendly (very old construction), but you get used to it. The apartment is also very hot inside during the day and also the night (we had to sleep with the air conditioning turned on), but this is a solvable situation thanks to the AC.
