Square House Bildeston High street

Beds were comfy, Location was nice, easy walk to the pubs for drink or dinner.

We didn't feel like the Square House was as clean as it could have been, I felt like I needed to wash all the crockery and cutlery before using, there was pizza crust still stuck to the oven tray. We had not brought Slippers and therefore felt we needed to keep our shoes on after first night as our socks and feet were black from the floors. Very disappointing for such a lovely spot.

Road could be a bit noisy but didn’t bother us.

Very well thought-out interior design - retaining and making the most of all the period features whilst adding in all modern conveniences. Although the place as a whole is quite compact, they've maximised the main dining / living space and with the unusually high ceilings (for a building of its age) it feel really spacious.

It's totally outside the control of the owners, but the road outside is quite busy. Not a problem for us as we live in a very busy town anyway. But worth being aware of if you're expecting to stay in a country village with very little traffic.

location, quirkiness. Close to pubs and shop although one pub is only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday and the other is rather expensive, however it’s very nice.

Rather dark, especially the ceilings..! Would be useful to have left some cleaning/bleach product in the loo area. would also be useful to have some kitchen roll and extra toilet roll… People on short breaks are hardly likely to bring, or purchase the above items. The rental should be more than enough to cover these items..!

The decor was very nice and the location was great.

The bedding smelt musty as if it hadn’t been properly dried or aired.

The apartment was lovely and comfortable. A home from home.

The decor could be lighter and brighter.
