The place is nice, cozy, clean, and has everything you need. It's close to the bus stop and within a pleasant walking distance to the center or the river. The owner is helpful and replies to messages very quickly.

I really should have paid more attention to the comments about the heat. On the first day, it was worse than a sauna. It was so hot I could barely breathe. The windows can't be opened, which makes the space feel quite claustrophobic. There is a cooling unit, but it's located in the kitchen and can't be moved to properly cool the rest of the house. You can barely turn it to face the kitchen entrance so the air reaches the other rooms. It does cool the place down eventually if you leave it on 24/7, but the noise is quite disturbing. As soon as you switch it off, the heat builds up again very quickly. I was really disappointed about this. I even caught a cold from leaving it on for so long. The air is cooler, but not enough, and it ends up drying out your throat. The toilet also gets smelly from time to time, probably because there’s no proper ventilation. It’s a real shame that the windows can’t be opened. My Finnish friends were shocked and even offered to bring me a window opener, but I didn’t want to risk it. The owner offered to send a maintenance person the next day, but 1) I couldn’t stay home to wait, and 2) we should be able to open them ourselves. The curtains have to stay closed all the time to block the heat, which adds even more to the feeling of claustrophobia. It could be such a lovely, beautiful apartment, but it ends up feeling uncomfortable. Definitely not coming back in the summer. And if it wasn't because of the heat and lack of cooling and the windows closed, , the place would be a 10.
