[kritsa house]

Location good, excellent very friendly host. Left us wine, talk & fruit & brought us pastries. Even took us to see his allotment kypos in Greek & provided food rakhi & wine. A great unique experience.

Nothing at all, everything provided

Homey atmosphere. Like being in your own home, but with Cretan cultural history everywhere. There is a nice balcony to have coffee in the morning. A bottle of wine (and some raki!) awaited us in the kitchen on arrival. Ioannis was a very friendly and attentive host, who responded to our queries very promptly. It is evident that he has a lot of respect for where he comes from and his heritage. The village is lovely, and within a short drive of the beautiful and peaceful Katharó Plateau, high in the mountains.

Can't honestly think of anything negative. It was perfect.

Very convenient location. The house has everything with very nice cretan decor from the past. A big thank you to a very kind owner of the house. Looking forward to the next visit and stay at the Kritsa house.

Full facilities for cooking washing cleaning ..provision of information about the house the village and surrounding area , made welcome by host with gift from cooperative and visited to make sure everything was ok , easy check in and check out

It’s authenticity, close proximity to the centre but still in a quite part of the village.

The small house is equipped with everything you need. The owner has also made a small museum out of it, which was very impressive. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bed was comfortable. The small roof terrace was also very nice. The bathroom has a low ceiling height, but we were able to take a wonderful shower in it. As a welcome gift, there was a bottle of wine and a small bottle of raki! We also found a small gift in the form of delicious biscuits at our door one day. Great! Unfortunately, I did not meet the owner personally - what a pity!

The house is not so easy to find. My recommendation is to use the directions on Booking.com. Parking directly in front of the house is not possible. But there is some parking about 100 m away.

Loved the little house which had everything you could possibly want. we didn’t cook in, but there was everything and anything you would need including g a toasted sandwich maker which we used for warming up Easter treat.

We stayed on some very overcast days and the solar had trouble providing enough hot water for the shower. Booking.coms map is useless. By all accounts this can’t be changed, so ask for a picture of the route to the house. you drive right around the one way system which is really easy. B.C’s google map takes you to a very narrow dead end!

Our stay at kritsa house was great and would definitely recommend this stay to others! The rooms was clean, comfortable and have everything you need for a nice holiday. It's very spacious. We like the great the location - in a lovely quiet part of Kritsa, but short walk to main area with restaurants and landmarks. The host is incredibly welcoming and kind.

Had a great stay, all facilities good, Kritsa House has been renovated sympathetically with its traditional surroundings, and is deceptively spacious. A gift of local cakes we're left on the doorstep from the owner, which was a nice touch. We enjoyed the company of the local cats at feed time.

For convenience a pop up toaster would have been nice, although there is a fully functional oven grill but didn't want to make it dirty. The mattress on the double bed took some getting use to but just added a blanket (of which there are plenty) below the bottom sheet. Some noise from local renovations but what can you do.
