I stayed here for one night in August while traveling through Wyoming. Communication with the host was excellent. I received the door code in advance and there was a helpful binder of instructions and house rules waiting inside. The house itself has great character. It reminded me of visiting older relatives growing up - squeaky floors, smaller bathroom, and an overall comforting, nostalgic feel. The lawn was beautifully maintained and the neighborhood, while clearly a college area, felt quiet and safe. (The couch across the street on the lawn gave me a laugh.) Inside, the kitchen was well-equipped, and I enjoyed cooking a fresh breakfast before leaving. The bedrooms had comfy beds with window A/C units, though they were a little loud and warm for my preference. I ended up sleeping on the living room couch with the window fan, which was actually very comfortable thanks to the cool night air. Overall, this was a cozy, well-kept stopover with a lot of charm, responsive hosting, and good value for the price.

There were a few quirks: one of the living room windows didn’t fully close, and the floors upstairs are quite squeaky ... something to keep in mind since the basement unit is also rented out. Parking was on the street since the basement guests get the driveway, but it was easy enough.

Very comfortable stay.

Great location. Older house that reminded me a bit of the one I grew up in (I grew up in Laramie). Comfortable. Despite the name, you are on the 1st floor -- there is a basement apartment below you (it's a one story house) so you only have to lug suitcases up a short staircase at front).You do park on the street we had no difficulty at all (might be a bit of a problem when UW is in session since the place is just a block from the campus.). Excellent wifi.

Bathroom was a bit cramped making it a bit awkward to take a shower, but given the age of the house not much one could do about it. Storage space was limited (no drawers in which to put clothes) -- we were there for only one night but if you wanted to stay longer, you might get tired living out of suitcases.

We were afraid that that we were keeping the guest downstairs awake because the floor creaked a lot.

The house was perfect for our stop over on the way to Denver to fly home. It's a short walk to bars, restaurants and shops and was spotlessly clean.
