Location was good. Mini water themepark was excellent.

apartment was little outdated, could do with some improvement. Unifi was not working. Got bitten by bed bugs in the master bedroom.

Location worked for us between Cherating and Kuantan, with some nearby places for food. Pool was great and enjoyed by kids. Proximity and view to beach is nice.

We were extremely disappointed and surprised by the state of the apartment, especially considering the mostly positive reviews on Booking.com (though we have since found some negative ones that, in our experience, are more accurate). The condition of the apartment was so poor that we had to leave after just one night—we simply couldn’t stay any longer. This is the first time I’ve ever felt the need to do that during a trip. It was also one of our most expensive bookings in Malaysia, but it was far from worth the price. The photos in the listing are clearly outdated. The apartment is now quite run-down. For example, the flooring is damaged in multiple places, with patches that appear to have been repaired but the edging is already in a bad state as well. The sink in one of the bathrooms is badly cracked and there’s visible mould, which looks like it’s just been painted over rather than properly addressed. While the main areas had been superficially cleaned (e.g. the floor and beds), much of the apartment was unhygienic. We found a cockroach in the bathroom on arrival, which set a very bad first impression. Cups in both bathrooms were visibly dirty. The kitchen, though seemingly well equipped, had dust, dirt, and cobwebs around the utensils. The only sponge available for cleaning was sitting in a pool of congealed gloop—not usable. The worst issue for us, however, was the overpowering smell throughout the apartment. We’re unsure whether it came from the state of the property or from the air conditioning in the main bedroom (which seemed old), but it was unpleasant enough to make some of us feel physically unwell. We didn’t feel it was safe or healthy to continue staying there. I’m sorry to have to report all of this, especially because the apartment clearly has potential and may have been very nice in the past. However, it desperately needs a deep, thorough clean and a refresh.
