Spatious apartment with an artistic character. Easy checkin and very comfortable. The apartment was clean and tidy, centrally located. The host was welcoming.

The towels could be renewed

Little apartment near the main station of Locarno. Very central location, ideal for a long weekend away.

Be careful with the fridge, as it has an open freezer inside the temperature in the fridge easily goes below 0 freezing all your food.

Perfect location right next to the train station, bus station and funicular. Bakery just round the corner and old town and port a few minutes away on foot. Easy access, only one small step outside front door, spacious rooms. Despite being so central, the apartment was exceptionally quiet and we slept very well in the comfortable bed (only used smaller one). The apartment felt welcoming, clean, nice artwork everywhere, plenty of wardrobe space. Adequate crockery, cutlery and pans, proper oven (no microwave), large dining table. Large bathroom and plenty of towels provided. Nice to have a small balcony to open the French doors onto, although not suitable for sitting out. WiFi good, didn't use the TV. Note that the curtains don't cut out much light and there is a light source outside very close to the windows, so people who need a dark room to sleep may be disappointed. It's an old apartment with nice high ceilings and mainly old fittings, including doors and windows that aren't that easy to open and close. A more modern facility is the night light in the hall that comes on automatically when it detects movement. Most of the older style electric sockets have been replaced with the new shape, which are slimmer, sort of diamond-shaped. This means UK adapters for a circular socket WILL NOT FIT and there are no USB sockets.

Kettle didn't work properly, fridge unusable as everything froze even on the warmest setting. Advertised washing machine not present, which was a disaster for us as it was a long holiday in multiple locations and we travel light. The host did our washing for us twice, which seemed like an imposition. Showering was difficult as the taps are where you need to stand on one side of the bath and the shower curtain got in the way the other side. The shower head flopped down making it impossible to get underneath the spray. I didn't like having no natural light in the kitchen.
