Nice, quiet place with good value for money. A big playground, lots of other kids and free-roaming pot belly pigs should keep kids happy! The apartment we stayed in was spacious and super clean, the check in super simple. We arrived, I called the host, he came and told us which apartment is ours, where park to offload our luggage and where to park our car. The door was open and the key i the apartment, so I guess you can also arrive late at night if you let the host know. The apartment came with 6 beds. The bathroom has a shower and floor heater, the kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, cutlery, a stove, a dishwasher and washing machine, a big fridge and a big freezer. Some apartments apparently have a freezer in the hallway. Upon booking the property responded via booking.com with a link to their own booking tool/information homepage which was helpful however, a bit generic and extra services such as boats etc. cannot be booked via their tool. We rented a boat for 3 days and the boat was in top condition, with fish finder/echolot and map/GPS. Life vests are provided (and mandatory to wear while on the boat) and the host will give you a mandatory instruction on how to operate the boat, general safety, where to fuel, and good spots to try to catch fish etc. I reserved the boat via booking.com messenger, but when I went for the hand over it seems that the message got lost somewhere in the communication trail. It was not an issue as I got the boat we needed (25hp motor, allowed to operate without boating license). The tank is full at hand over and the host will show you where you can refuel. Be mindful, this is the North Atlantic and the weather can be very unpredictable. We went out one day but the waves and the wind made us quickly turn back despite very good weather forecast. You can find relatively good information on the weather, wind and waves on windfinder.com or check with the host if it is safe to go out.

The information provided via the Hausvik-own link was a too bit generic an the communication via booking.com messenger could have been slightly better. Otherwise all good!
