Special Honmachi

More Airbnb than hotel, but it was very homey, which made it more comfortable.

Really big flat with everything you need. The washing machine was a godsend after eight months of traveling. A lively street, and very close to the train station. Lots of shops. Within walking distance of the castle.

It is interesting to see how an old Japanese apartment looks like, a bit like a museum. It definitely has a special atmosphere. The checkin and checkout was very smooth.

The apartment was not clean at all. The carpet was dirty, there was black dirt on the windows and the whole flat was dusty. As everything is very old, everything feels dodgy. Also, the ACs blew dirty and stinky air so I am sure they were not cleaned for a long time. But, the worst js the noise. It is in the middle of the party street in Okayama which makes it impossible to sleep before 2am. It was especially bad on the weekend, but weekdays are also loud. I do not recommend staying here.

Self check went smooth. Near the station. Spacious and clean. Perfect

A very large apartment with many rooms and many beautiful pieces of artwork adorning the living room. Very comfortable.

Very noisy outside at night. The location is very central, but close to bars, restaurants and noisy patrons.
