Palermo al Centro - Appartamento Maestri

The apartment was very well located within Palermo so we were able to walk to all the sites that we wanted to see. The apartment itself was exceptional, with the bedroom and ensuite bathroom located one floor above the rest of the apartment so possible for one person to get up without disturbing the other. The host provided an extensive dossier on the apartment, as well as recommendations on places to see and where to eat.

Garbage disposal was an issue at this location. While there are garbage bins located at the front door to this apartment, it was made clear by locals that they are not for use by residents of the apartment. Because garbage disposal seems to be an issue in this part of Palermo, there did seem to be some garbage in the street in front of this apartment. We also had some issues with the keys to the front gate of the apartment and only learned as we were leaving that there was an electric switch that unlocked the gate. An update to the hosts guide on both the gate and where to dispose of garbage would be easy fixes to both issues.

L'appartamento è in una posizione comodissima per girare Palermo a piedi. La zona è tranquilla. L'abbiamo trovato pulito e attrezzato. Giuseppe super disponibile e gentilissimo.

Apartament miał wszystko czego potrzebowalismy na krótki citybreak. Świetnie wyposażony. Położony w samym centrym blisko sklepów i restauracji. Od właściciela dostaliśmy cenne wskazówki co zwiedzać.

Świetna lokalizacja

Łazienka na piętrze była w złym stanie (brak drzwi prysznicowych, uszkodzona słuchawka prysznicowa, brudy kaloryfer)

The great location. All main attractions, as well as the Central train/bus station, are in a walking distance. Inspite of such central location, the appartment is in the inner yard and perfectly isolated from street noise. The host Guiseppe is an extremely hospitable person, always ready to help. Inside the appartment everything was well organized, enough space, two rest rooms, well equipped kitchen.

We stayed in the end of December, and it was at nights a bit cold inside even though both AC stayed working. However, Guiseppe immidiately provided us with an electric heater what improved the situation.

Location and facilities

There were some small items which were not provided like toiletries, very limited toilet paper rolls for one week. The owner said “it is a home not an hotel”. The mattress was uncomfortable. Regretfully, the internet was very slow and most days we couldn’t stream on our devices.
