Fantastic cottage. It was well equipped and very comfortable.

There were no bad points.

Postbox cottage was just what I needed. A peaceful, warm and cozy haven with really comfortable bed in such a sweet little village within easy walk of Melrose. Thank you!

Postbox Cottage had everything you could want. Clean homely great location and great correspondence from the hosts. If we were back down near the area we would not hesitate to return to this beautiful wee cottage. Oh and not forgetting a great night sleep what a comfy cosy bed !!

Postbox Cottage has a lovely, homely feel, is very tastefully decorated and has everything a visitor needs in the kitchen for preparing their own meals. It was good the property had a small vestibule, especially as I visited in poor weather. The hosts were prompt in replies to my messages and it was straightforward to gain access to the property.

I travelled by train and therefore expected a short walk from the station but I was unaware there would be no local shops to buy things like milk or cereal for breakfast; the nearest was a half hour walk away. It was good for a bit of exercise but a little inconvenient!

Bathroom nice but difficult to get it warm

It was cosy with tasteful decoration. Absolutely enjoyed the duvet, must say it was an eye opener. We have bought one for ourselves and suggested for our friends too.

The cottage is absolutely spotless and very comfortable to come home to after a day on the hills, we both enjoyed our visit a great deal. If you're staying on a Friday or Saturday it would be worth booking a table at the Tempest Brewery, a five minute walk away - good fun. The new 24 hour garage at the roundabout on the way from Tweedbank Station is also surprisingly well stocked (essentially a small supermarket) and could supply everything you needed for a self catering weekend. Communication with hosts was very easy and pleasant - thank you Julie and Simon.
