The owner of the apartment was really nice and supportive. The room itself was clean and spacious . Location is close to the marina area.

as the streets are so narrow we found it at first a little complicated to arrive at the apartment but the host provided very specific guidance. If you know what to expect it is easier.

Breakfast basic and good. Location very central in historic centre of Salerno. Easy to walk everywhere from there.

The apartment looks newly renovated and clean.

We were a late-night last-minute booking after airline trouble delayed our arrival. Alex was very understanding and helpful to ensure the apartment was ready for us. He sent clear photos and videos showing how to reach the apartment using the public lift and the walking path. The video was an excellent walk-through. We found the apartment clean and spacious. The self check-in process was very easy. As we were not feeling well, Alex provided recommendations for the nearest doctor and pharmacy, along with directions. The apartment is in the center of old Salerno. The local alleys connect plazas, small shops, and wonderful restaurants. The lift is very close by and makes travel to street level in the city more convenient. It's a full kitchen with cooktop, refrigerator, and microwave. Very convenient! The kitchen was clean and has a kettle, tea, coffee, and breakfast pastries. Stock up with a few snacks, or bring your favorite pizza back with you for a late night treat. The bathroom was spacious with a large shower and clean towels. Television, sofa, and dedicated air conditioner made the main room comfortable for planning our days and relaxing at night. The bedroom had very nice lighting, including small bedside lights. The bed was comfortable and the in-room air conditioning was perfect. Tips: Bar Umberto is the best landmark. It is below the apartment at the city's street level. Every taxi driver had no trouble finding or dropping us off there. Taxi to/from the train station is a quick 10 minutes at most. The lift has limited hours -- 0740-2200 while we were there. Pay attention to the time, or be prepared to walk up to the apartment. It can be strenuous if you have large luggage. The path is beautiful stone and cobblestone. There's a lot of uphill walking. This is something to consider if you are not comfortable walking uphill, or have mobility issues. The apartment floors are beautiful marble.

The restoration of the apartment is lovely and well done.

What the photos of the property do not show is that the apartment is on the bottom floor/street level with poor ventilation. Therefore, the apartment was dank and dark with a light odor of sewage from the very narrow passageway outside. To get to the apartment there is a city elevator which is very useful. Unfortunately, it does not operate after 9pm. The climb up from the city center where the restaurants are located is confusing and straight up hill - one needs to be fit to hike up to the place.
