Closely located to the beautiful Palermo Cathedral, but far enough out from the city centre that it’s not too noisy outside. Large bedroom with comfy memory foam bedding and the bonus of a balcony (there a second balcony in the living area too). Wifi had a steady connection with around 25-40mbps on average, so I was able to work/stream without issue. The stand out for me (in addition to the stunning view from the balconies) was the host, like all the comments I read prior to booking, Pippo was invested making my stay comfortable. He was proactive and even picked me up from the bus station with a bag of fresh mandarins!

I don’t have any complaints, overall my stay was pleasant, but there are some minor things others may wish to know. The apartment building itself, can at times be noisy, whether it be the rattle of old pipes, the abrupt slamming of the main steel door, or the general commotion of other residents. To avoid blocking the pipes, no toilet paper was to be flushed, but a bidet is available. Shower head is loosely fitted to its pole, so it kept falling down and tapping me on the head, I got it into a workable fixed position but taller people (I am 170cm) may need to crouch or use it manually. Kitchen is perfectly functional, but would greatly benefit from a chefs knife.

Everything

I would strongly recommend staying here. It's the perfect size for a couple or solo traveller. The location is amazing. The apartment is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The neighborhood is great. Pippo was so friendly and gave lots of suggestions on what to see and where to eat. He really made the stay great.

I liked everything, the location is ideal, everything you needed for a short stay was there. Lovely little balcony where you can marvel at local life, i found it very entertaining watching how a narrow street which looks like it should be one way coped with two way traffic. Very clean, although the shower is beginning to look a bit grubby, but nothing that making up a paste of baking soda & vinegar or bleach and leaving it on for a couple of hours and clean off (works wonders). But the pièce de résistance was definitely Mr Pippo the host, despite my having run out of data and not having access to free wifi, so being unable to let him know my exact time of arrival, he was at the bus station waiting for me. He is an absolute gent and a natural at hosting.

Nothing, would highly recommend, as a lone female i felt very safe.

Centrally located for historical part of Palermo. Host met us atthe bus station and drove us to the apartment. He pointed out different landmarks on the way.

The street was very busy with cars and scooters speeding by until the early hours

Pippo and Guila are the sweetest hosts we've ever had! Pippo offered to pick us up from the bus station and took us on a scenic route and showed us landmarks and important roads to remember how to get home. He walked us through the apartment so we knew how to use everything. He had maps and phone numbers and all kinds of information for us before we even had to ask! He also sent us links and reviews of things to see while we were there. The air conditioning and wifi worked wonderfully. The apartment was spacious and so nice to come home to after a long day in the heat. The location is excellent and right down the road from the Cathedral and (what I think is) the main strip. We had hoped to use the washing machine after travelling for 3 weeks but unfortunately it was in repair. Pippo and his wife took our laundry to wash at their own home and returned it all neat and folded! There was a bit of a language barrier but we made good use of google translate and it was so refreshing to have a host that cared to communicate with you in any way possible.

The apartment was very clean, equipped with Everything and is exactly as on the pictures. Quality furnitures by Ikea, bed was comfortable to sleep on. Owner, Pippo was really kind and helpful, he almost treated us like his grandchildren. Historic place are all within a 2km distance. I highly recommend.

Our stay at the apartment was perfect. The hospitality of Pippo, the owner, was splendid. He took care of us from the minute we arrived at Palermo till our last day. He made sure everything was great. The apartment is located in the city centre, very close to the cathedral - you can see it from the balcony, it's just 3 minutes away! The apartment was very clean and fully equipped. We loved everything about it. Grazie!
