We didn't get the door code and instructions via message, which was the first time this happened to me and was suspicious based on the comments I read. We called the owner, who blamed the reservation system for overbooking and told us that they were already fully booked (and didn't notice until we arrived?). He wanted to cancel our reservation when we were at the door, and then he called a friend to let us sleep there (no air conditioning, no kitchen, but otherwise clean and ok). We found that they are in an obvious agreement because this friend has significantly lower room rates (but the guest still pays the price on the reservation system) and thus does not pay a commission to the reservation system. If you look at the other comments, you will find similar stories. Our group thus had no place to prepare breakfast and no air conditioning, which would have been possible after the first reservation. Basically, you will probably get accommodation when you book, but the question is where and which one.

Apartments are just beautiful, spacious with everything you need and close to the centre, shops just few minutes walk. Large balcony. Great privacy.

Solid beds and paint falling off above balcony door, needed to brush and mop twice a day.
