"Very nice modern apartment in Scala"

Great apartment with every modern amenity needed for a very comfortable stay. Massive terrace with an amazing view of Ravello and the sea. Amazing kitchen. I loved the design of the place. Lorenzo is an excellent host, he kept in touch all the way before and throughout the stay, giving clear instructions about how to reach the apartment, how to use all the amenities, how to get around the coast. There were a few little issues, which he sorted out immediately. Lorenzo is a chef, he suggested some very nice restaurants in Amalfi, and helped out with the bookings. He really made my stay on the Amalfi Coast very comfortable. The restaurant downstairs in the hotel is excellent, I would recommend booking it in advance, as it gets busy with tour groups in the afternoon. There is a nice small supermarket only about 5 min walk from there as well. The hotel has it's own car parking, it's perfect if you are driving.

Unfortunately, the bus that normally runs between Scala and Amalfi was not running during my stay due to an accident, and the replacement bus ran only a few times a day, with the journey taking over an hour. Luckily Lorenzo informed me of this in advance, so I rented a car. Driving around the coast is fun, but not very convenient, it's very hard to find parking and becomes very expensive. Just be aware of that. Amalfi is about 15-20 min drive from this location, if you are planning to catch a ferry to Capri or Positano, then best to leave the car for a day at Laudano Gianluca garage in Amalfi, they charge €30 for a day.

The situation and view of the appartement are great! Very nice view of Ravello from the balcony. Centre of cute town Scala very close with everything you neef closeby (fruitshop, mini market, bars, tabacherria). Loved the amazing kitchen and equipment. Really everything you need is provided for :-) basics for your sta Adèle. Hosts are very warm and helpful, ready to give you every information and tips you need! Great walks to Amalfi, Minori etc.
