Elephant Court - Comfortable, spacious house with parking

The decor, comfortability, space, the garden, everything that was needed to cook was in the kitchen, the beds were comfortable and the dams in each room were really needed.

The location was ideal for our visit. On the edge of Reading, out of the city centre, but near the retail parks for shops and has a couple of convenience stores in the development. The place itself was spacious as described and had all the amenities we wanted. It has some lovely carved wooden furniture.

All guests struggled to sleep. Most of the beds were very uncomfortable and all bedrooms had very thin white blinds, so the rooms were light very early (stayed in summer). I think I had the one OK bed and had brought my eye mask, but otherwise everyone else had bad nights, sadly.

the beds were like sleeping on stone. I needed 3 mattress toppers to make the bed comfortable for me. all the sofas in the lounge were far too low and I ended up buying a chair I could sit in. Otherwise, I only had the wooden kitchen chairs . The apartment was also dusty, where the cleaners had not dusted the floor level, windowsills in the bedrooms .

Relatively close to reading centre, was able to walk there. Excellent price for the amount of people you can fit in. Spacious and good facilities.

Mattresses were very uncomfortable.

The kitchen was not clean. The dining table, oven, hob & fridge had to be cleaned before we could use them. Although we were advised that there was a pest problem we did not expect to see rats in the garden, this meant that we were unable to use the garden on one of the hottest weekends of the year. The garden also requires some attention to make it more pleasing on the eye.
