I had been scrambling for hotel accommodation for Friday night in Cardiff due to celebrating our son's university graduation, however, I couldn't get anything resembling an affordable price, and had to look for anything further afield. So, ending up around 40 minutes away from Cardiff, virtually on top of a Welsh mountain, slap bang in the middle of a working farm literally was further afield. That said, when we actually found the property and accessed it we were blown over by the quality and size of the accommodation. The finish of the (Self catering lodge) was excellent, blending modern facilities with traditional wooden furnishings. The owners have obviously spent a lot in developing these lodgings and taken great care in how they look.. It was possible to view internet platforms such as YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime, which was unexpected. Good sizeable bedroom and shower wet room in addition to a Living room (2nd bedroom for one extra person) and kitchen, dining room.

Minor point. Maybe an internal lock for the shower/ toilet room, especially when you might be accommodating a third person. Otherwise, the final leg of the journey up to the location where these lodgings are, takes you along quite a narrow road and country road.

The property was modern, spotlessly clean, spacious, minimal. Very quiet and beautiful views. Gardens nicely kept and flowers in full bloom. Good location for travelling into Cardiff for principality stadium ( 20 mins or so) and super location for hiking in the Brecons.

Loved it all. Some instructions on how to get the log fuelled jacuzzi started would be an addition & some tea/ coffee/ milk would have been a nice addition as the shops are a drive away for supplies ( and maybe a Welsh cake ! 😊)

We struggled with the access road but were driving a large vehicle.
