Quail Run Cottage with stunning vineyard views

Wonderful setting with wonderful hosts! Can’t recommend it highly enough. It is a beautiful cottage with so many lovely touches to make your stay special. Great position for exploring the Marlborough area.

From the moment I arrived on the property, I felt so welcome. Mary Ann and Andy are amazing hosts and my entire stay was such a highlight! There was no lack of attention to details to make this the most special escape. The cottage came stocked with anything necessary for cooking and even included provisions for the first morning giving those who stayed there time to go to the stores after settling in. The design was so lovely all throughout the space and it felt like home. The kitchen was equipped with stove, oil and balsamic, as well as spices for cooking. There was a nice collection of pots and pans as well as bowls, plates, and even a basket of fruit. There was an espresso machine, a toaster, and a hot water kettle. On the breakfast table, there are guides sharing about the fun things to explore in the area, as well as a welcome book made expertly by the hosts to give even more suggestions and also share several favorite places to visit. The design was so well-thought out and functional that it made cooking so enjoyable and simply just drinking a morning coffee or going to the list of recommendations such a lovely treat! The cottage has a lounge area and overlooks the vineyards. As you venture out on to the patio, you can smell the grapes from the vineyards just down below. The views from the cottage are panoramic and you are surrounded by breathtaking mountains everywhere you look. And for those seeking privacy or extra sleep, there are plantation shudders and dark curtains to hide the light from outside so you can keep dreaming. The bedroom has a bookshelf on one side for the avid reader and the mountains seem to say goodnight you as you drift off to sleep as if bringing you into a storybook yourself. The Bathroom has bathrobes and a walk-in shower waiting for the weary traveler or someone simply seeking to relax and unwind. Most of all what I loved about the property was the phenomenal hosts, Mary Ann and Andy.

There was nothing I did not like about this property. The location was unbelievable in the best way possible, the layout was perfect and so welcoming, the hosts were truly remarkable and unforgettable, no detail was overlooked. It was a rare find and there’s not much like the Quail Run Cottage!

Everything was amazing! The hosts were so lovely and super helpful, all of the little thoughtful extras made it super special, and the property and surroundings were absolutely stunning! Easily one of the best places I've ever stayed.

We booked this cottage based on a recommendation from friends who had stayed there a year prior. It was an excellent recommendation! Andy and Mary Ann were super and the accommodations were beyond our expectations. The rural hilltop views of the wine fields below were amazing. Although no meals were served, the hosts provided everything you would need to make your own breakfast for several days - bacon, eggs, bread, yogurt, jams and jellies, milk, several large servings of juices, etc. Upon arrival we were treated with grapes, cheese and crackers, and a bottle of one of the finer bottles of wine in the region. No detail was overlooked and amenities ranged from bathrobes to a heated mattress. Many thanks to Andy and Mary Ann for their hospitality!

There was nothing we didn't like.

The location was very close to many of the vineyards and the private deck had a wonderful view over the valley. The fridge was full of tasty treats, and the bed was super comfy. It was a perfect retreat for a trip to Marlborough.
