Starhost - CASA DEL CAPITANO

We had a wonderful stay! The location is excellent, close to everything we needed. The host was very kind and punctual, making the check-in process smooth and easy. The apartment is spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable. We also appreciated the independent heating, which kept us warm during our stay. Highly recommended!

The only downside is that it can be a bit noisy at times.

A great base for touring the Amalfi coast. About a 20 minute walk to the boats. A lot of really good restaurants within walking distance.

Unsuitable for 4 people as not enough comfortable seating, metal dining table & plastic chairs & only 2 wooden seats on the terrace. Staff don’t reply to messages altho they obviously have done according to the guest book Not good value for money

The property was amazing, it catered for all our needs and more, it was in the perfect location with a supermarket, several restaurants, patisserie and pizza take away Angelo our contact was fabulous and answered all of my queries in a very short time

Apartment stunk of cigarette smoke. You enter into an entry that has the front door of 2 apartments... this area was really strong of cigarette smoke.. I'm assuming the smell comes from the apartment next door. But it's so strong that the smell is through all the linens, etc... and after 3 nights there, our clothes smelt of it too. The apartment is very dated.. walls need painting and repairing, sofa needs replacing, kitchen table barely holding together, mattresses need replacing, and kitchen has ants through the drawers. The kitchen table and sofa and TV are all in a small room. Very small area for 3-4 people. Obviously, the photos on Booking.com are from when it was first updated... it's not that clean and fresh now. Coffee amenities are provided... but they are in big jars, not individual sachets... not great hygiene. There is a vet next door.. so as soon as 1 dog barks, every dog in the neighbourhood starts barking. We had a rental car.. and it wasn't the easiest to get to, and street parking is near impossible. Parking garage is a lot more than 300 metres away.. costs 20 euro a day.

The apartment was very spacious with a nice balcony, which was facing the main street. We had no difficulty in checking in. Both bedrooms and the kitchen were also good with proper facilities.

There could be a daily cleaning person/service. Some more esthetics can be added especially in the living room such as better and coloured (not white and oversize) curtains. Kitchen needed more plates and glasses.
