Très grand appartement avec un grand séjour confortable, un parking et un petit balcon. Propre et bien situé.

Un des lits n'était pas confortable, on sentait trop les ressorts.

The apartment is spacious, the kitchen is well appointed, and there is comfortable seating for up to 4 people inside and out (more seating is available for larger parties). It was quiet at night, and the beds were quite comfortable. Excellent water pressure both bathroom showers. All three balconies provided beautiful views from sunrise to sunset. Signage and information in the apartment was detailed and helpful. The apartment was fastidiously clean, and we were pleased to find a washing machine available with plenty of clothespins to hang out items for drying. The location is very good—close (walking distance) to shops, restaurants, local attractions, and a grocery store. The airport is 25 minutes away (less if you drive like a local); Funchal, São Vicente, Pico Areeiro, Pico Ruivo, and São Laurenço can all be reached in about 45 minutes or even fewer; other worthy spots (Fanal Forest, Paul do Serra, several levada walks including 25 Fontes) are all pretty much 1.5 hours away by car. Santana in general has a very pleasant, easy-going, community vibe—local favorite Faial beach was a highlight and only 10-15 minutes from the accommodation! Finally, our host Maria was warm, welcoming, and friendly. She gave great tips tailored to our needs, she was very accommodating of our schedule and preferences, and we found her to be available without being intrusive. We were really happy we based ourselves here for our first visit to Madeira. We would stay at Maria’s Pérola Dourada again, and highly recommend this spot to others. Thank you Maria for setting us up for an unforgettable trip!

We loved everything. Highly recommend getting a car because this location is most ideal for folks exploring the island with a private vehicle.

Ontzettend vriendelijke host. Gelegen aan de rustige rand vlak bij het historische en toeristische centrum van Santana. Ruim. Vanaf het balkon van slaapkamer heerlijk uitzicht.

Zeer karige uitrusting van de keuken wat betreft pannen én dergelijke. Vanuit woonkamer saai uitzicht op blinde muur. Zoals de meeste appartementen op Madeira: beetje vochtig en schimmelachtig.

15 minutes to the mountain trail. Perfect location to explore the island. Lots of space in the flat. The host vas very useful and nice.

Very steep road to the house, takes some courage to maneuver and park (but it's perfectly doable)

We really enjoyed the property. It had 3 different bedrooms (we were two couples). So we got to choose which bedroom we want. Really big kitchen/living room area. Apartment was really clean, located on the first floor. There’s an allocated parking space behind the building for the car (although keep in mind it’s a bit tricky to turn into the parking lot from the main road - nothing unusual for Madeira roads 😂). Apartment had all the facilities that you might need. Although some touches like spices, salt, coffee would be nice. Owner was really friendly and responded promptly to my messages.

Amazing apartment in a great location. Maria was a great host and helped us organise taxis and trips while in the area. Very spacious area and the view from the balcony was awesome.

Nice view from the bedrooms. We had everything we needed, plus some patience for the hot water. The property is located very close to downtown of Santana and many viewpoints around. Moreover, the district of Santana is the best starting place for the most impressive hikes across Madeira, and for reaching key points like Pico Ruivo and Pico Arieiro!

Humidity in the property. The steep slope to get to it might be challenging. It would have been nice if basic flavorings were available.

Great location, great value, great view, great host communication and nice spacious apartment. The drive up to the house is tricky but nothing difficult once you follow maps. Having an SUV and turning into the parking lot if fun lol! The apt is great and we had everything we needed! Would 10/10 recommend.

There is construction going on right next door that takes away the peace and calm from the morning sounds but not a huge issue!
