CHRISTINE SEASIDE APARTMENTS IN CHANIA

I liked that the apartments felt like home, rather than a 'hotel'. The living room and bedroom were really good sizes, and the balcony was very big. The apartments were very quiet and the sea view was lovely. I would definitely recommend if you are someone who likes their privacy and calm surroundings. I lost my keys (temporarily) and they were so helpful and reassuring about the situation, within 5 minutes I had a new set and was told not to worry about the others (a lot of places would have a fee for lost keys!) I also asked if I could check out a little later as my flight was not until late afternoon, I received a response within about half an hour saying I could stay as late as I wanted - these little things really do make such a difference so thank you Christine Seaside Apartments! - The welcome bottle of wine was very much appreciated :)

I wish my apartment had a kettle, I had to boil my water on the hob every morning and the pans provided were only big enough to hold 1 mugs worth of water and took quite a while to boil each time. I also felt the lighting could have been better, the living room lights were a really horrible, cold bright white light, I would have preferred a 'warmer' lighting but that is just my preference.

The host was extremely friendly but did not speak any english which was a little bit difficult for us because we did not speak greek.:) Somehow we managed to communicate and he taught us some greek words like Kalispera and others.

There wasn't a coffee machine in the kitchen.

Everything was perfect. Location 100 meters from the beach. Proximity to shops and restaurants. Good access from the airport to the apartment by public transport. The hosts are hospitable and helpful. I would highly recommend

Everything was just perfect! Frindly host, great sea view from out balcony, very clean and large rooms, private parking, 20 second away from the beach, this is the perfect stay in Crete!! The best!!!!

Very Good Location: If you are planning to rend a car and visit Chania, the various landmarks around the city itself and the surrounding area this is an ideal spot for accessing all of the main roads. For whoever wants to stay in one place for the entirety of their holiday, the apartments are on the sea side avenue, filled with good restaurants, bars, cafés, bakeries, shops (supermarket and retail), pharmacy and right across from a beautiful beach. Even though it is a touristic area, there is no noise coming to the apartments in the evening so you can get a good night sleep. Parking: There is ample private parking for the residents of the apartments with easy access from the main coastal road. The Host: the host is really friendly and responsive. Complementary bottle of wine and breakfast items (coffee and sugar packets, some jam and honey and packaged toast). On Friday afternoon there had been a blown fuse that cut the power and the host made sure that it was fixed by later on that night. Expense: It is a real value for money place considering that we stayed there with my husband during the summer peak season (31st of July to the 7th of August).

If you are planning to spend time in your accommodation and not just use it as a base and just a place to sleep, you may find it a little underwhelming and depressing as far as the furniture, décor and the lighting goes. There was a TV above the fridge in the open plan living room/kitchenette which would have made more sense (and give less of a "hospital vibe") either somewhere else in the room, or in the bedroom where also the one AC unit is). The bathroom was really small and difficult to navigate around. A few more hooks (both in the bathroom and bedroom) would be useful, as we had a hard time finding a place to dry our towels and keep the robes that were provided by the host. It would have been nice if we had more than 4 hangers between us in the closet. Also missed, was a towel or two, for the kitchenet to dry our hands and plates and a place to hang it. Also, the clothes-lines on the balcony that were available to dry beach towels and swim-suits were so frayed that they snapped by the 2nd day with our clothes falling in the yard downstairs. We arrived on Monday midday and the host, having ran into us at some point on Thursday afternoon asked if we needed our room cleaned and towels and or sheets changed. We had said yes and were expecting the cleaner to knock on our door around 10am the following day as per our arrangement but no one came. On Sunday we ran into the host again and when he offered again to have our room freshened we declined as we were checking out the following day. I honestly think that it is more out of miscommunication and mutual shyness rather than neglect that this happened, so I would suggest that a schedule is made for clean-up after 3 nights (at least to empty the trash in the kitchen). All in all the place was clean and tidy but a little run down and can be a lot more more hospitable and user-friendly, with little effort/cost.

The lighting im the apartment was not good, especially in the bathroom. When showering at night,we could barely see. The wifi kept going in and out. The place was a bit run down and dated.

What can I say !! We spent these fantastic weeks in complete relaxation. Cristine Seaside Apartments is a perfect place for a beach holiday. A stone's throw from the beach and everything you need. The owners of the property are an extraordinary family. They always asked us if we needed anything and made us feel at home. The appartment was simple and clean with a great sea view. We will be back . Thank you

The location is perfect, you cross the street and reach the beach. It was very clean and the terrace made all the difference. The amenities where great, we had a full kitchen which was great for morning and lunch snacks.

I would have preferred a double bed, instead of 2 single ones but they where very comfortable.
