Chy Mor Apartment 1

We had an absolutely amazing holiday at the Chy Mor apartment in St Ives. The apartment itself was incredible – beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The views of the harbour were simply stunning – we could have spent hours just taking it all in from the windows. Being situated right in the heart of town meant we had easy access to shops, restaurants, and the beach, all just a short stroll away. It really is the perfect location to enjoy everything St Ives has to offer. We felt completely at home and very well looked after during our stay. Without a doubt, we’ll be booking again in the future – can’t recommend Chy Mor highly enough!

Absolutely stunning apartment amazing views and amazing facilities. Smooth check in plenty of towels and toilet rolls etc. very spacious and convenient for a family especially with the 2 bathrooms. Local amenities out of this world and the sandwich bar/ pizza/ dessert place a few buildings to the right made possibly the best sandwich and pizza I’ve ever tasted and the owners absolutely amazing even gave my 2 year old a free donut while we waited.

Nothing to say really maybe could have done with oven mits maybe a few tea towels but that’s just being over picky.

the location and views were amazing being right on the harbour with views from the kitchen and lounge right over the harbour. The en suite bathrooms were very luxurious. The beds/bedlinen and furniture was very comfortable

Parking is about a 10 min walk away which isn't ideal, but quite normal in St Ives. We were able to park a 2 min walk away to unload luggage. The underfloor heating in the kitchen didn't work. On arrival the lounge was very cold and there were no instructions for the heating so we had to call the host who explained how to use the controls. No towels in the second bedroom but found a set in the main bedroom in a drawer under the bathroom sink. (just a minor point) Blinds in the 2nd bedroom didn't keep out the bright street light which was on all night. As you would expect in St Ives Harbour it is quite noisy and the noise starts at 6.30 am!!

The view and location is great. The place is big enough and comfortable enough that four humans can sit and chat or hide or lounge. The French windows actually allows you to see the Slipway parking where the people come to get kayaks and paddle boards, so a good view. We had the first floor, so sitting on the sofa and looking out it feels like you are on the beach, which was great. The glass enclosed dip with a chair was a good one. It has blinds in the glass, so you can look out at eye level but if people look up they can't see you. So it is a great place to sit and read or just bask in the sun in private while being really close to a busy road. The place was very clean. All the cooking pots and cutlery were good quality. The nespresso coffee maker, induction stove, washing machine and dishwasher worked worked as expected. The showers were as expected. We had balanced eel fish and chips on the day we arrived and they were good - both the food and people. We cooked some days and ordered takeaways, both were convenient. Noticed a lot of deliveries like tesco, asda, & waitrose, although we did have anything delivered there. The host didn't blaster us with a lot of emails pre and post, which was great. They sent the check in and PIN of the key safe online and securely that was great. The parking location was not far and again a great view as it was on the seafront. Please be aware as it is on the wharf, you have to drive through old tiny road that have a lot of people and very little space. Word of advice - go slow, keep your eyes and ear open and don't stress :-) People are great. The waitrose driver actually waited and saw I was comfy taking a tight turn on the way to the parking then went on with his life. a nice change from busy city road with even busier & distracted drivers :-)

The main sofa the big green one was not very comfy but we moved the sofa chair from one of the bed rooms and it worked well.
