no 1 Wood Street

Location was great! Very spacious. Owner was very helpful! Great selection of China, glass etc. Shower cubicle was grubby on arrival. Had to clean.

The flat had no hoover and hard wooden floors. After a week it was awful! We did ask the cleaners to visit but they never came. The ironing board was tiny. The pillows were marked. The duvet cover was torn. Not enough hangers. 2 towels for a week! No change over. No face clothes. No parking nearby so ended up with 3 parking tickets. Stayed in another great flat in town for a lot less money!

Quality apartment, well maintained and presented, 2nd stay in 6 months and not disappointed.

The parking is tight and relies on everyone parking considerately, location is close enough and has a street light.

Could do with a mirror in the 2nd bedroom. Other than that ever you need Parking was a problem for us , as the allocated parking was full each time we went there.

The location was perfect for what we needed it for. It was close to my daughters university accommodation and we were moving her in over the weekend. There were plenty of coffee shops and restaurants for us to eat and drink. The flat itself is beautifully finished and we had a lot of space to relax. The bathroom was great - spacious and very clean.

The front door entry code was incorrect on the instructions and we were given the correct code by the cleaner when he left the building. The booking was for four people but yet we only had two large towels (my mother brought towels for herself and my father) and the towel in the toilet was a tea towel. The advert said there was a coffee machine but there wasn't one and when we went to use the washing machine, the detergent draw was full of stagnant water and mould - which I cleaned out so we could use the machine. There were only three mugs and two wine glasses (I bought two more wine glasses a left them there) - again for four guests, the utensils were minimal.

The location and the actual apartment are superb. Only issue is teh noise from the street on weekends but shut the windows and that lessens it. Overall an outstanding place to stay.

Not sure that anything could have been better. It was clean, good location and had everything I needed.

We were so impressed with the variety of dining options on adorable Wood St. It's is a great street with happening weekend nightlife. During the week and during the day it's vibrant but not at all overwhelming. The hardest part was choosing what to eat because the full kitchen in the apartment makes it so easy to save money on dining out but just outside the front door there are such tempting offerings. The bedding is wonderful, the beds comfortable, couches and dining set too, modern fixtures throughout, all VERY clean. Great quality toiletries supplied. Really cool windows and blackout shades open with remote controls. Dishwasher and clothes washer in the unit plus a drying rack and ironing board. (I forget if the washer was a dryer combo unit - we hang everything to dry at home so I didn't pay attention). There was also a hair dryer, so didn't pack one and use the extra room to bring tea and biscuits home! Janes and Rob were both super responsive so we felt both free to just be and looked after. PS it truly is "old" town - around the corner on the way to the local supermarket, there's a building from Henry VIII's time, called the Bell Hotel, built in the 1600's!

I can't think of anything we didn't like! Three women and all of us were constantly remarking on the pleasantness of our stay.
