Genex Apartment

Astounding view, very big apartment with a modern kitchen and bathroom. Great place to stay. Shops nearby, good AC.

Fascinating contrast between brutalism and certain neglect of the building outside and it’s interior, which becomes apparent the moment you walk in. Clean, in good condition, even flowers in the public staircase/elevator area. The apartment itself (highest floor, windows facing east towards Belgrade city) is furnished very tastefully, spacious, tidy. Very large, perfectly clean, it’s possible to open some for perfect viewing or picture taking. The owner is very friendly, speaks perfect English, lives in some other part of the same building and gave me a very precise and useful briefing upon my arrival, by far the best one I ever got (out of a very high number).

Just a comment about some other guests note I read: the „noise“ of the road. Yes, it is true, that the windows are not 100% soundproof. The „noise“ of the road isn’t really disturbing though. Since it’s very constant, it’s easy to forget. Actually, if you are positive about the situation, keep the window open to get a better feeling for this extraordinary situation you‘re in. I did it during daytime!

Like everyone else said, the view is really good. The apartment is pretty big and the hosts are friendly, always in contact. Milos recommended us a laundromat nearby and we had were able to wash some clothes quickly. The bus station is also really close to get to the fortress or other tourist attractions.

The apartment is the symbol of the city's brutalism. it is very clean, modern, well furnished and equipped with everything. It's on the top floor (30th) of the building and the skyline is stunning. The interesting districts for a brutalist tour are very close but it is also well connected to the city center. Milos, the owner, is a kind person. Available for every need, friendly, easygoing and welcoming. Highly recommended.
