The property was in a quiet location, but difficult to find initially, we managed to educate the tuc tuc drivers where we were by the end of the stay.. The hosts were friendly but always there when we went out and returned late at night even in the dark. We did feel a little spyed upon. When booking the stay we knew that Breakfast was not included but we assumed that we would be able to purchase a Breakfast locally, not so, a walk and a tuc tuc ride was needed to go to the nearest cafe. The itinerary for the homestay was impressive featuring amongst other things a dishwasher, not needed, not required, not used !! not in working order !!! To cook Breakfast the only utensils we had was an array of saucepans and a dirty frying pan without a handle. The cutlery consisted of one kitchen knife, two tea spoons, three serving spoons and four forks, no knives !! We had two plates and two cups, hardly enough to warant a none working dishwasher and hardly enough to cook or enjoy Breakfast. We did manage to boil water in a saucepan for tea, no kettle. We would not recommend this homestay because of its location and the lack of cooking utensils, You get what you pay for but this homestay was vastly overpriced.

Location. We must have a different homestay, 500m to the beach?? No way! Km 's from all amenities, restaurants and accessible beaches The homestay was a none functioning show kitchen, even the fridge still had the internal shelves and fittings securely taped up with scotch tape, I cannot see how the previous occupiers gave this property such good reviews. Please check the reliability of your reviewers.

no windows to open (they overlook the neighbor) no proper towels small geyser, so little hot water at a time

Very clean rooms and feel like it's home.Next time also planning this same resort with my family... 5 mins walk to beach and also lot of restaurants and shops in that place. Varkala is nice beach and location to enjoying with your family, friends and couples. 👌
