Villa dei Gelsomini, Residenza nel verde

The villa is in a wonderful quiet setting, with views overlooking the olive groves, but you can walk to a couple restaurants very easily. We love the natural environment - what a perfect place to base for exploring northern Lazio/ southern Tuscany! The chickens at the adjacent property were hilarious - a little baby rooster was learning to crow, and listening to him follow the adult male's lead was so dang charming! Fully stocked kitchen with all the basics are provided, and a great breakfast offering of coffee, juice, brioche etc. There's a beautiful outdoor terrace for morning coffee and evening dinner and wind down. Overall we loved this property.

The home is super comfortable and spacious - great kitchen, great living spaces, big bedrooms. The windows mostly have screens which is key because there was no AC. Bedroom fans certainly helped and the evening air was cool but it can be quite warm during the day (we were there during a heat wave in middle August - not exactly the freshest time!) Riccardo provided mosquito coils and spray as well for the inevitable. Overnight temps cooled down and the cross breeze was great. The bathtub wasn't working when we were there unfortunately (shower was fine, just no relax a bath).

Everything is really nice at this property and ideal for a family vacation or with a bigger group

You just need to consider there is no airconditioning, you will have the owner and his family/friends stay in the same house and also be aware of the all time present mosquitos.

very nice & peaceful place surrounded by olive trees! Big garden & safe parking. Its really nice experience to sleep in authentic Italian house.
