STYLISH HOME WITH FREE PARKING - 10 MINS TO LEGOLAND! - By Tempstay

We were visiting Legoland for a family event. On this point, it was close to the facility. There was a high chair and travel cot available, which we used.

When we arrived at the property we were shocked to find that it was covered in scaffolding with sheeting and a builders van was parked in the driveway. There was building materials and rubbish strewn around the back of the property, the front garden and part of the parking area. Inside the property was dark because of the scaffolding and sheeting. Although the bedrooms upstairs are all spacious we realised as soon as you sat on the beds that they were going to be uncomfortable. Noisy, creaking and lumpy. We called the agent, Tempstay, immediately and said that we were not happy. In fairness to them they did offer us two alternative properties. However, neither were suitable. Therefore, not wanting to cancel the family trip we said we would stay, as long as we would negotiate a discount, which we did receive. Indeed the upstairs beds proved to be extremely uncomfortable. Not one of us had a good night sleep. In addition to this the kitchen tap was leaking. Spraying water everywhere, especially when using the cold water. The kettle was leaking too. A couple of the upstairs blinds were broken, one you could not open at all. The curtains in the downstairs bedroom had hooks missing so were drooping off the rail. There is not enough comfortable seating in the lounge area for the amount of people that can stay at the property (7). Two armchairs and a small sofa. The general state of the property wasn’t great. Holes in the wall under the TV, scuffed paint work, particularly on the staircase. In all honesty I could not recommend staying at this property if you want a comfortable sleep.

The layout and room size was good, and the beds were very large, which was nice.

The scaffolding surrounding the property was not ideal, and the cleanliness was not great. Also not enough kitchen utensils such as baking trays, pans etc.

Perfect location for our visit to Legoland and near to Windsor The downstairs bedroom and shower were ideal as my Mam has mobility issues and would have struggled with the stairs. Bedrooms were comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay again as any problems we had did get sorted and the location was excellent.

Some of the furniture and decor has seen better days. We were told that there was a high chair. We emailed the owners and a high chair was brought after 1day. There was some cutlery missing, also there was a broken light switch, the owners have been informed and they have said they will sort it out.

Great location

Great house with plenty of room. The beds were huge which was a nice touch. The whole place was lovely, clean and so comfortable and the kitchen was modern with lots of appliances. The location was perfect for the four of us, there’s a nice dining table for 6 and it was open plan with the lounge which was fabulous.

Nothing.

The property was in a central location within Windsor with amenities close by, a good sized Tesco across the road from the property, along with a bar with beer garden next door to the property, the house was a good size for 5 girls getting ready for Royal Ascot. Décor was modern and nice. The property was also very clean and tidy.

There wasn't any mirrors within the bedrooms and with 5 girls getting ready for Royal Ascot this proved difficult working with one mirror in the hall way. The blind in the bedroom to the right of the top of the stairs the cord was broken so we couldn't get the blind up. The bed to the right of the top of the doors was very creaky and a little uncomfortable, this was two beds pushed together. Some of the paint work at the front porch door & hall way stairs could be doing with being touched up as looked a little dirty. Some fans would have been appreciated due to the heatwave as the upstairs of the property got very hot, during summer months that might be something to consider for future.
