Chalet Z`Wichjehüs

The view of the Matterhorn was exceptional. The place was clean and spacious.

The pillows were too lumpy and a comforter was provided even though it was summer.

A lovely property, just on the outskirts of town which was great for us, as we like walking. However there is a free bus right outside the door if needed! The property is modern, well equipped with a great view of the Matterhorn (on good clear days 😃 we had two from four, so great!) Beds are comfy in good sized bedrooms, bathroom a nice size and a lovely living/dining/kitchen. Balconies galore to sit out on. There is a lift with a key directly to the apartment so super safe. There is a ski room for shoes and skis (for the winter) etc. We were welcomed by Johnny and saw Bianca when we left and that was perfect because it meant we had no complaints😁

We loved how spacious and beautiful this apartment was! Huge windows to enjoy The Matterhorn view through and a beautiful fireplace too! The owner was very helpful and accommodating! The location was far enough away from the main hub to make it so peaceful yet the bus stopped right outside the door. We actually walked the 15 minutes to shopping and great restaurants. Grizzy’s was our favorite!

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property

I didn’t like having to prepay via wire transfer but, once I confirmed this was normal for this property it was fine.

Everything, but off course above all the view

This chalet was perfect for our family of four. It's a bit of a walk from town (15 minutes), but there's a bus stop, and the Klein Matterhorn lift is super close. The chalet was cosy and had everything we needed, including a ski room with boot dryers (a lifesaver after a snowy day!). We loved the fireplace for après-ski evenings, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. Plus, there's an elevator, which was a pleasant surprise! The only thing that could be improved was the bed linens, which seemed worn. But other than that, the place was great. There are even a couple of restaurants and a local shop nearby. We also enjoyed walking around the charming village. For getting around, taxis are affordable, but we mostly walked since everything was pretty close. Overall, this chalet was a perfect spot for our ski trip, and we recommend It.

Located in a quieter area of Zermatt, yet close to the town center and in particular to the start of many trails. The view to the Matterhorn from the appartment was a highlight.
