Golden Esthetic with Red Sofa Apartment

We stayed in an apartment in the heart of Budapest’s Jewish Quarter — and it was the perfect base for exploring the city. Everything is close by: restaurants, cafés, ruin bars, the synagogue, and the Danube is just a 10–15 minute walk away. The interior of the apartment is truly special — vintage touches, high ceilings and a unique and charming atmosphere. We’d gladly come back.

The bathroom had a weird smell

Bed was very uncomfortable. There was no hot shower for more than one person, and even for that one was questionable. Honestly that was the worst part. They charged us more than 40e for cleaning service and they didn’t even change the towels.

Amazing apartment, so spacious, immaculate, well equipt.. Fast response from owner when booking, good details for key. Perfect location for visiting main areas of Budapest. Easy tram and metro links a few metres away. Safe area day and night. Would highly recommend and we can't wait to go back.

This property's location was fantastic! It was convenient for exploring the city's attractions, with easy access to a direct airport bus and a nearby metro station. We also appreciated the proximity to some wonderful restaurants and handy grocery stores, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

We did encounter a few maintenance and condition issues during our stay. We noticed some exposed electrical sockets, which could be a concern for families with young children. The bathroom's small water heater was a bit temperamental, sometimes only working intermittently when the water was running. The kitchen sink pipe was detached and hanging precariously from the sink, making the sink hard to use. We also felt the cleanliness could have been better, which made us hesitant to use the kitchen facilities without a thorough cleaning ourselves. Furthermore, the apartment itself was in a somewhat worn condition. The sofas were all quite dirty, and the red one was actually broken. While this didn't personally impact my stay, it's worth noting for future guests. The bed frame also had misaligned slats, creating gaps in the already thin mattress. I was able to adjust them somewhat to avoid back pain, but it wasn't ideal.
