First, the location is the best, right in the center of the city. Next, the apartment is pretty, clean with furniture and appliances in good condition. Then, the host is 100% helpful, communicative, responsive, going beyond standard expectations, answering questions on time and recommending places to go. Highly recommended to consider when planning a trip to Budapest.

Location and a helpful host

Everything! Our stay at Dohany Design Apartments was fantastic! Federico could not be a more caring host. From the bottle of wine on our arrival to the wealth of tips he gave to us, to the extra blankets he actually purchased for me, it was clear why he has been given such excellent reviews. The apartment, itself, has so much charm - from the beautiful plants, to the carefully selected photos on the walls and the soft, warm lighting. The beds are truly comfortable, and the heating works so well. The location is great - on Dohany Street, you will find a gluten free bakery, an Indian restaurant, some delightful clothing stores, and you are not far from several grocery stores and restaurants. And though vibrant Budapest is at your doorstep, the apartment is so quiet. We had a wonderful time!

The location is amazing, within walking distance to many restaurants and tourist attractions. The hosts were super kind and responsive.

There were a few household items missing, like garbage bags, but it wasn’t a huge problem.

Location - first class, in the centre of the vibrant Jewish quarter. Very quiet apartment, an inner balcony area, but very spacious Federico, the host was excellent, he could not do enough for you, from a host of v good recommendations and tips. Nice touch having a couple of beers in the fridge on arrival!

I like flowers and bright spacious classic interior. Host is warmly welcoming and proactive with help to guests. I like the location as well and huge windows. Highly recommending.

The location of the property was amazing, 5 min away from the main street and very close to the airport bus station. The building was extremely beautiful, capturing the spirit of Budapest. The apartment we stayed in was located on the last floor, had a nice balcony and view, was recently renovated and it had all the facilities we needed. What made our stay so pleasant was the host, Federico, who was very polite. He let us check-in earlier and check-out later based on our needs, he took the time to personally come and welcome us and in addition provided us with a lot of suggestions about restaurants, bars and attractions. He was friendly and communication was good and easy.

Location.

No elevator although it claimed it has. Host demanded cash payment. No air conditioning, only tiny noisy fan. Entire apartment is dark, no natural light. Bedroom is very small. Shower has drainage issues. Towels worn out, thin and small. No waste basket in toilet. Stairway is not laminated at night and is dangerous to go up or down. Pictures on webpage are very misleading.
