"No on site car parking offered despite Booking.com saying it was. Tricky narrow streets"

A washing machine was provided. The host offered his olive oil so I could use it for a meal. Barletta Castle's is a 25 minute walk away. That was OK for us but not for some.

According to Booking.com, the accommodation was supposed to have a terrace and a balcony. We couldn't find any terrace but there was the usual small Italian balcony which you stand on to peg your washing out on. Nothing else. According to Booking.com there was supposed to have been parking on site. Please see attached photos. Unfortunately we had to park on the road and it is not easy finding space. Also the roads in that vicinity are very narrow and people often park almost blocking the entry to each street. We had believed that on site parking had meant on site parking e.g. some Italian properties will have a personal garage or parking spot. Sadly this was not the case. The air conditioning unit was for the bedroom only. A fan had to tackle the rest of the accommodation. It did feel hot on occasions despite it only being 28 degrees outside. Boiled a pan of water - no kettle. We had missed the fact that there was no WiFi and we don't have unlimited Italian data.
