The location is perfect. You are walking distance from everything but it is still quiet and peaceful with birds singing and the canal water slowly flowing past with the occation duck making his way past. We had a lovely time just sitting outside drinking coffee in the morning and even the teens was entertained. Wifi available. 😁

Beautiful property in the center of Utrecht - walking distance to much the city has to offer. On top of that, the host was amazing. He personally let us into the property and showed us how everything worked, and also provided a welcome packet with some snacks and drinks - much appreciated after a day of traveling.

This is not a complaint, but something to be aware of: The property is located down by the canal and is connected to the street level by stairs. If stairs present a challenge, this may not be the ideal property for you.

A brilliant bolt hole for exploring Utrecht and beyond. The apartment is right in the centre, a couple of minutes away from lovely cafes, restaurants and shops. You're 1 minute from the Dom tower (a handy landmark to aim for when wandering around). It's an extremely cute setting, overlooking the canal-path in a converted cellar, and has been stylishly renovated. There's everything you need to cook, plenty of storage, all the appliances you might need and space to relax. I wondered if it would be cold in winter, but it was very warm due to the effective heaters in each room. It feels very private as it's below the road and you don't hear much from above. We would love to return!

The location, the warm welcome, the cleanliness. Absolutely everything was pretty much perfect for our family of three.

What’s not to like!! Modern, yet retaining many original features, the apartment was warm with impeccable attention to detail. Vlinders is located in the very exclusive Nieuwegracht, which is both stunning and very quiet. Annemarie and Jan were very welcoming, engaging and obliging. We felt warmly received and well looked after.

the hosts were super flexible, agreeing to meet us early and giving a personalised tour of the apartment. It was my husbands birthday and they left wine and snacks on arrival and gave us local Dutch cookies on checkout! All awesome, personalised and unexpected but appreciated touches. The photos though awesome, aren't as amazing as living it.

If only they would have accepted us as permanent tenants, agreed to take no further bookings for the rest of their lives, adopted us as part of their fabulous family and neighbourhood......

A perfect location and a really novel apartment layout. The owners have done a wonderful job putting it all together and helped make our stay in Utrecht a memorable one!

We loved the location, close to everything and the view of the canal was peaceful.

Would have been nice to have had a few more coffee capsules and milk upon arrival.
