Outstanding quality of apartment. Spotlessly clean with everything you could wish for to make your stay comfortable and easy. A real home from home. Giancarlo and Paola were the perfect hosts, genuinely lovely people who could not do enough for us.

I loved the open kitchen and balcony it was very big for a one bed apartment. Giancarlo was a great host and went above and beyond. As I was on my own he made sure that I knew where I was going and I’ll definitely be coming back.

Amazing view to wake up to. An everchanging vista with the mist & low cloud around the mountain tops. Also the twinkling of lights across the water at night.

No footpaths along roads, so too daunting to cycle (we're not Italian)

"Wonderful!"

Giancarlo met us even after we were delayed by traffic. He was so helpful and took his time showing us everything. There was even a PDF on the TV that we could look at. We were amazed at how much food there was in the apartment. We really didn’t have to buy anything for the four days we were there. And Giancarlo was wonderful during our stay. He checked in with us a couple of times and helped us to get a restaurant reservation when we were having trouble one night. I can’t say enough about what a wonderful host he is.

The only downside I would say was because of our age. While we loved that the apartment was away from the hustle and bustle of Varenna it made it a little bit for more difficult for us to get into the town other than by car which was difficult at times because there was nowhere to park, and I would warn people that have limitations that it is a steep climb up to the property and then there’s a steep set of stairs. We managed just fine and it really didn’t bother us at all.
