High Street Suites 3

This is my second time staying in this accommodation and again it was fantastic with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxed holiday on the Island. Customer service is fantastic and John let me have a late check out at short notice which helped immensely with my little boy the morning. It is like a ‘home from home’ type feel and we will be booking again.

Nothing, I previously wrote on my last review that I would have liked a ‘dust pan’ for a quick sweep. Had I looked around the apartment properly I would have found they in fact have a hoover stored for those sandy foot prints from the beautiful beach!

location was great. In the middle of the town. Easy access to supermarkets, butchers, chemist etc. Very close to bus stop

Not easy to find the way to the private parking.

The property has everything you need for the perfect stay from towels to tea/coffee, even a massage chair! The modern kitchen has all the utensils you need to make home cooked meals and instructions on how to operate appliances are available. Lots of information in the apartment from local restaurants to dine in to attractions to visit around the island. Great location and the instructions on how to enter property are clear.

The pull out bed in the front room could probably use a topper as it’s a little hard. I would have liked a broom/dustpan and mop to give the floor a clean during my stay as I found the floor got a little dirty with 2 children. Other than this no complaints.

The property is central, close to all shops. The kitchen is particularly good, with a home-from-home assurance that everything is available., pristine, and good quality. The reception area is spacious and well decorated, with good tv, etc. There is a glass table for four, well-positioned by the window over the High Street. The bathroom is well fitted and quite spacious, although I couldn’t turn in the towel rail. The safe, dedicated parking spot is a real bonus in a busy town centre, even though it’s a few minutes’ walk away.

The bathroom floor and shower were not well cleaned. The bedroom blind was difficult for me to operate - the pulley was so high that I was on tiptoe trying to reach it (I’m about 5’4”). It is extremely slow to raise or lower the long blind, so I had to mostly leave it down. The bollard padlock that protects the parking bay was too stiff for me to open, though I eventually managed it once. A kind neighbour helped me when I first arrived, but thereafter I had to leave it unlocked.

Hot water flow was almost a dribble. No hot water in the kitchen. Shower head adjuster broken. Bathroom grouting and sealant needs attention

Pretty much everything other than a noisy, insomniac neighbour who played loud music much of the night.
