Nice apartment basic but comfortable and easy walk to the center of town

The apartment is located on a noisy street

A 10min walk to the city centre, comfortable beds, easy check in. The host was very easy to reach and friendly. The apartment is sunny, the kitchen is well equipped with some basic breakfast snacks and coffee/tea at disposal. A large parking lot is just around the corner.

The cleanliness was average, it could have been better. The street under the apartment is very loud. The apartment looks fancier in the photos than in real life, the furniture and decoring is very simple and cheap. For this price a night they could have put a better effort into details (carpets, lamps etc)

In general, the location didn't feel safe. We were willing to overlook that, but then the door to the apartment building did not function properly. The host did not provide detailed check in instructions and we spent ten minutes in the dark trying to get out of the building because the key was not working and nobody informed us of another way out. My family was very upset and when I called the host, we could not reach her. My husband was finally able to get the key to work, but we did not feel comfortable staying in the apartment and requested a refund from the host when we finally did reach her. We were booked for 2 nights and because we arrived late the first night, we were fine to pay for that night. But the host would not refund the following night, even though we told her we did not feel safe and would not be staying in the apartment. (we were booked for 2 nights). She said there was a button to press to get out of the apartment building, and that nobody ever had an issue. But the instructions didn't mention this at all, and the hallway was dark and we never saw a button to get out. The whole place just felt very unsafe, and the experience with the host was very disheartening. I feel she should have refunded 1 of the 2 nights, given our circumstances. I use booking and Airbnb all the time, and this is the worst experience I've had. I do not recommend.
