Traditional Cretan Stone House in the Center of Crete

Really traditional. Complimentary toast ingredients, eggs and lots of stuff for breakfast. No TV!!! For the very hot nap the fan was more than enough

The ongoing efficient communication with the owner was amazing. The little home was authentic and well stocked. The village was quiet and friendly. The home was exceptionally clean, and we felt at peace and very safe.I also loved the information booklet left by the owner. We didn't need anything apart from a place to wash our clothes if staying a while, but there could have been a washer that I missed.

For us, the distance from town was too long. However, that is our own personal preference and we propable should have checked better. Also, be mindful that GPS can send you on roads that aren't car safe. I would have liked instructions on the different appliances.

Grigorios, the host was always available for any questions we had about our stay in Crete. The building was very cozy and a perfect fit for a couple. Breakfast was plenty, and in case something was missing, we could find groceries in the village near by (7 minutes by car), including small bakeries. The building was well equipped, very clean and was mixed with traditional and modern elements. The bathroom was nicely renovated.

The street is very near to the entry of the building, seen even from bed. Grigorios was very helpful in applying a blinder on the door’s window so it wasn’t that transparent anymore. In the long-term we would suggest installing a small fence at the outside hall, so the guests can feel more private inside.

The house is like a museum. You enter the traditional way of living of Creteians. Everything was good, space, food left in fridge, peace, and calm atmosphere. It is close to main road from where you can access other places of interest. Perfect if you have a car and like to rest in mountain after busy day.

A very pleasant stay in an authentic house from the 12th century with a special charm, a homely atmosphere and a story of its own. The accommodation was very clean, the price of the stay includes bread, milk, fruit and other ingredients for preparing breakfast. The host pleasantly surprised us with homemade raki and kind behavior. Thank you very much!!! ❤️

Grigorios was the best host we've seen ever. He was very helpful, always asked if we needed anything and gave very useful tips for our trip. Breakfast was more than enough, the kitchen was full of food and he kept asking whether we needed anything and brought us delicious cookies, bread and eggs during our stay. He even brought us a painkiller when I said I was suffering from migraine. The house is so original, so authentic and lovely. It's also a very good choice for hot summer days as it is made of stone and is always cool and comfortable. This was a very good experience, and we'll definitely choose his house for the next time.

Breakfast was not enough and not good enough either. It was not replenished in four days.

The host was great and helpful, there was eggs, bread,fruit and juice for our breakfast and we brought food for supper and snacks. We where later in the year and there was no restaurants open. Defiantly takes you back in time in host's grandfather's home. Great place for some down time. Very small town up in the Mountains.

The shower was small.

A beautiful, historic small house.

Not really a negative as we chose this, but the property is in a remote village - the nearest shops, restaurants or bars are a 8 minute taxi (€8 one way) or a 25 minute walk to the nearest town. But we loved the remote nature of the property.
