"The Best of Budapest Without the Noise!"

Not only does this property (built in 1815) have lots of room in a fabulous Old City location, but its QUIET too! The view is into a central courtyard area, not a city street, so it was always a peaceful oasis whenever we arrived after long walks in the City. Large rooms are neatly furnished and the large comfy sofa is also a large comfy bed. The kitchen is cute with a small table and 2 stools, and adequately equipped with pans, utensils an oven and a cooktop. The WiFi was secure. The shower stall is large, with a glass door, and complements a tiled bathroom with a heated towel bar. From the entrance (an ornate carriage hall with vaulted ceilings) its a one-minute walk to a small park overlooking the Danube River and beautiful views day or night. A small grocery store, a pastry shop, a hairdresser, and a bakery are very close, as well as all the amenities and entertainments of the Vací Utca. This was our favorite base in Budapest for 12 days!!

There is no elevator, so be prepared to enjoy two flights of spiral stairs each time you leave or return to the apartment. The kitchen would benefit from a toaster and a coffee-maker of some type, but these are small inconveniences which the owner will most likely remedy soon.

Clean, nice apartment in the middle of everything, but still quiet. We could hear no sounds from the streets. It had what we needed for our stay. There is no elevator, but that was not a problem for us.

The owner said there was a washing machine, but there was none. The towels was smelly and should also have been changed during our stay.Too little toilet paper.

great location. Everything is within walking distance. Nice one bedroom apartment.

A washing machine would’ve been useful. Climbing the stairs several times a day was tiring for us older folks. Especially when we had to carry our luggage upstairs.
