Estive em Amarante para tarefas burocráticas. Reservei este alojamento por curiosidade e interesse pessoal. Vivi em Amarante (arredores) e frequentei o antigo Colégio de São Gonçalo de 1950 a 1956. Conheci três jovens que viviam neste edifício (Ilídio e as suas irmãs Eliana muito especialmente a Helena!). O alojamento é um verdadeiro miradouro não do Douro, mas das águas cristalinas do Tâmega, agora ancoradas por um maravilhoso e seguro açude que nos permite atravessar sem perigo para o frondoso Parque Florestal mesmo em frente. Uma maravilha !!!!

Melhor só poderia ter sido, encontrar ainda com vida as pessoas minhas intimas conhecidas daqueles tempos de juventude e que por acaso viveram naquela casa e que muito bem conheci à cerca de 70 anos.

"Amarante is a beautiful town, wish we had stayed longer. Hosts were wonderful!"

No breakfast but full kitchen and close to pastry shops and coffee. Location was super close to all downtown sttractions and was beautifully situated close to the river. A wonderful town with friendly people and great wine!

Location was a little difficult for me as I am handicapped but the wonderful host helped carry our bags up the stairs.

"Exceptional"

Stayed in the loft. Tastefully decorated, comfortable bed and very clean. The location is a short stroll to most of the sites. Car parking is very easy also. The host is the most communicative and helpful of our 3 weeks in Spain and Portugal.
