Loft del malecon

Cute small apartment with view of the ocean, about 10 min walk from Centro.

Door and windows get rattly and noisy in high wind.

This studio is really a gem. Clearly a lot of thought and love went into the concept of the loft. The overall decoration is wonderfully creative but it is especially in the details that you can see how much effort the owner and staff put in making you really feel at home: from earplugs for the light sleeper over cooking oil and condiments for the user of the well furnished kitchen to a charger for your phone or laptop, a flashlight, a selfie holder for your phone, phone numbers for taxis and tour operators, a hairdryer, lots of towels… too much to sum up. It’s on walking distance to the old town and beautiful sundowns over the Gulf of Mexico are just on the other side of the Malecon. Whenever we will be back in Campeche Loft del Malecon will be our first choice.

Nothing really. The only problem we had was finding out which taps were for hot and which for cold water. To help future guests we have made a small picture of the taps on the information leaflet sticked to the door of the fridge. You’re welcome 😄

Good location with some nice places to eat around. Clean apartment and well stocked. You can chrome cast to the TV.

For the last 20 hours there was no water supply, so we could not shower or flush the toilet etc. .we were told it was a local area problem but in the end we saw someone fix it on the roof just before we checked out, so I don't know. If we had known it would not be fixed until the next morning we would have gone elsewhere so we could have showered. However we appreciated the free bottles of water. We also had problems with the internet the final day.

Very stylish, tasteful and very well equipped apartment. It was meant for the smallest things like earplugs (the apartment is not far from the road), battery chargers, a flashlight, body and hand cream, etc.The owner helped us with recommendations and ordering a taxi

In addition to the very good equipment, we would have expected the availability of drinking water for the entire stay

The loft and the little terrace are lovely and you feel at home right away. The owners are very responsive and helpful. The location is good, as you can walk safely on the Malecon to and from the center, even in the evening, as a woman alone. The internet works very well. The kitchen has everything you could need. The decorations and little appreciations left and right are just wonderful.

A few little things which are no big deal, but may be important to know for some. The hot water tank is not enough to shampoo and condition long hair, which means you have to split it into two rounds. But the water temperature can be regulated well, and the pressure is good! It would be quite easy to fix the noise problem, by putting a real door in, which closes seamlessly. This would also help the feeling of security. Don't get me wrong, it's completely secure, it's more about the feeling. Which probably also stems from the two little windows that can be seen through from the street. The bathroom sliding door is heavy, and it doesn't close fully, which gives the neighbors the possibility to see a little bit into your bathroom, if they wanted to. But they don't do it. It's again just that feeling. The water in the shower doesn't drain well, so it flows out of the bathroom, to the front door. This is quite dangerous, as there is no mop to dry it! I slipped quite a few times, but never fell. Hope everyone has that luck and balance.
