Roomy Loft 2 Bedroom with Free Parking Zodiak Stays

Super spacious and comfortable apartment

The apartment was spacious, clean, and well presented. It was lovely and quiet with all necessary amenities (oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, DVD, PlayStation, heat pump). The beds were very comfortable. The hosts had left milk in the fridge which is always appreciated. It was quite easy to get in contact with the hosts and they were very friendly.

The host company requested ID (drivers licence or passport) AND digital face recognition which felt intrusive and over reach. What made it more complicated is that the email they sent out originally asked for the ID and facial recording only of the person checking in (my wife). But later (and after paying) they wouldn't provide check in details/key location until I had provided my own ID. Never had this happen through booking.com before. The top bedroom is on the mezzanine/gallery floor so it is not enclosed/private. And the lower bedroom is enclosed but has a large window into the lounge which is not private if the light is on. This was fine for our family but might be a surprise for some guests.

Parking was ok.

Property is very run down, vanity blown out from moisture, furniture old, curtains ripped. No curtains on the top windows and lots of light in at night including a spot light from a couple of blocks away that lit the place up. Not a great sleep. The toaster didn’t work so I let the property manager know, apart from asking silly questions nothing was done about it. I left 2 days early, definitely won’t return.

The apartment was in a great location for our trip to visit our son who lives in Newton. It was very quiet, spacious and had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. Although we didn't use the parking space, this was a great feature.

Loved the parking that was included. One remote didn't work, but we only needed one. Instructions for entering and exiting were super easy. Great proximity to the motorway and central Auckland. The facilities are awesome. Pots and pans, oven and cook top, utensils for cooking and eating, beds were comfy, and had enough extra blankets provided.

Not many negatives at all. We couldn't get the door to the balcony open, but that's not a biggie at all. And be prepared to carry your suitcase upstairs!!!!

It's a nice wee place, easy to access, great that it came with free parking. I would book again. Had good kitchen amenities. Would recommend to friends and family.

I would just suggest that the bedroom downstairs have a curtain instead of what is there to cover the window so that you couldn't see into the bedroom from the rest of the place. Also to block out the morning light that shines through the small windows at the top in the lounge (hope that makes sense).

The location was very convenient, loved that there was a carpark aswell.
