Good location, close to the historically famous bohemian quarter of Skadarlija.

Cleanliness is my top priority when choosing accommodation, and unfortunately, this place failed completely. The shower cabin was covered in mold all around the edges – absolutely unacceptable. The shower faucet was broken, so turning it on resulted in water spraying directly into your face – a “great” way to wake up in the morning! For the price of €200 for 3 nights, we didn’t even receive basic disposable slippers. Since we don’t walk indoors with shoes, our white socks turned completely black from the dirty floor – and they couldn’t even be washed clean afterwards. All the glasses and plates were dirty, and there was no dishwashing detergent provided. In May, it can get chilly in Belgrade, especially in the evenings (around 15°C), but there was no heating option in the apartment. We tried turning on the AC for heating, but it didn’t work. We ended up freezing and had to warm each other up just to get some sleep. Half an hour before an important event (a wedding), I discovered that the hair dryer didn’t work, so I had to run with wet hair to the nearest hair salon to dry it. One more unpleasant surprise: check-out is at 10 AM, and we were told we needed to leave within 10 minutes because housekeeping was coming and couldn’t wait for us to pack properly. Just 10 minutes after, again, we received a message insisting we leave immediately because the cleaner refused to wait. We left 23 minutes after the 10 AM check out time, and I must say, after traveling through over 100 countries, I’ve never experienced anything like this! They also told us that public parking costs €13 per day, but we were charged €17 per day instead. No one greeted us upon check-in. We were simply told where to leave the cash – and forget about getting any change back. They never asked for our IDs, so I strongly suspect they are operating illegally without properly registering their guests.

Everything was great! Everything is within walking distance! The hosts are lovely people, thank you very much! Perhaps it will be important to someone - there is no elevator in the house.
