Location was great. Communication with the host was great too. Definitely recommend to others.

The electricity cut out repeatedly when we used the kettle. So we had no power or lights. This meant we had to walk out of the house, 100m, to the meter and reset the switch at the fuse box.

The fire, space and views

A few items would benefit from maintenance - blinds bathroom door handle and lampshades.

There are electric, gas and wood fire place. Gas heaters not working. Two electric heaters do not give enough heat to warm the place up. Wood fire place is a good addition.

it’s the cheapest accommodation I could find in Thredbo. and oh my the shower is so good! powerful and super hot!!! And the beds were comfy - which was a surprise after the state of the kitchen.

have to bring your own sheets etc, leaking toilet, dirty glasses in the kitchen, gaffa tape used to repair stuff, sliding doors not working. no windows or fans in the bathrooms too. The kitchen cupboards are full of old pots and pans , and there’s no room left to store you food. … the could do with a cleanout. This place has such potential- it just needs some cleaning, some love and a bit of care from the operators. (Retro means old. - it’s not an excuse for not repairing and looking after a place)

The $500 security deposit, I’m a mountain guide, 30yrs exp. I have never paid a security deposit anywhere in the world before, credit card details yes, but not charged!
