Casa Bellagio, Residence / Apartments

I liked the spaciness of the apartment, and how it was furnished. A good couch and properly sized bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed. The garage was a good way to place our car and tourbikes. It is located in a lovely quiet area of the city, the perfect location for a good climb up to mountain by cycle or foot.

The 20 minutes to the city are a bit short. We are both athletic, but that is definitely a challenge. Also, the way up is more prolonged and not lit, so bring a lamp. We would have loved a bit of garden/outside seating. The garden is far out, not paved, and overgrown with grass and lots of wasps.

The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed. Was nice to cook, do the washing, watch pay tv, couch and dining table. Plenty of helpful information from the lady in charge. The Garden was also very beautiful to relax, eat and sun bake with beautiful views of the lake. Good restaurant and pastry shop nearby and also supermarket.

Crane outside property, essential water works being completed at the time of the whole stay. I understand this was of no fault of the owners. We were told the water was due to be shut off on the second day of stay but it didn’t get shut off until the 5th day which was unexpected and inconvenient. No water from 12.45 until 5 pm. Owners apologised. Dust from the new drain being built blew up onto the balcony so we could only sit in the balcony when the workmen were not at work. Only suitable for travellers who were fit enough to walk at least 2 miles. Some paths very steep and uneven. Taxis very limited and bus services limited

Property was beautiful and very clean… Almost everything you needed! Ida was amazing and helped us with anything and everything.

The only thing I would say there was no dryer, particularly after doing washing and needed it be dry….Also there was only one set of towels so if they are wet after a shower there weren’t anymore!. Also the place is beautiful and only 2kms from the city centre BUT beware of the hills when walking to and from each day!.

Bed was very comfy. Having a washing machine was helpful. Lovely location, although it’s a bit of a walk from Bellagio, the views from the area are beautiful. Cannot overstate how helpful the co host (Ida) was. She came and picked us up when she discovered we were on foot and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Couldn’t have asked for more from her!

It was a great apartment very well maintained and the bed was comfortable. Plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe. Great bathroom shower nice and warm. Kitchen had everything you needed.
